Free Serie A Predictions and Betting Tips

Italy has a fantastic football culture and is the home to timeless clubs like Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan which have left a permanent mark on European football. Serie A is one of the most thrilling leagues in Europe and has shed the reputation of tough, tactical football and welcomed a more free-flowing game.

Serie A Weekly Preview

With both Intera and Juventus both drawing during their last game the margin between the two remains 14 points. So, after a bit of rest during the international break, both teams and the entire league are getting back to it, so we have a bit of Serie A predictions for you.

The match to set your sights on this weekend is the Lazio vs Juventus matchup. I Biancocelesti are not as good as they were the season prior, but they still pose a significant threat to Juvet, particularly at home. The Old Lady is 14 points away from Inter, so dropping any points means slipping away from the title race.

Marcus Thuram Serie A

Meanwhile, Inter Milan should have an easy matchup at home versus Empoli. Earlier, Napoli will welcome Atalanta at Diego Armando Maradona stadium for a chance to get closer to Roma and the 5th spot in the league.

Meanwhile, the new and improved AS Roma should have no trouble playing away versus Lecce. Finally, the last derby match of the round will be the one between Fiorentina and AC Milan. Milan has leapfrogged Juve at number two but will now have a significant challenge at Artemio Franchi.

Serie A Transfers

The transfer window is still open, and some transfers with big numbers involved have already been made. First, Milan made its squad much stronger by bringing Christian Pulisic to San Siro. The Rossoneri paid €20 million for this transfer. Still, Milan had more to say, as it also signed Ruben-Loftus Cheek for €16 million.

Interestingly, Milan got both players from Chelsea. Their most bitter town rivals, Inter, also had some interesting signings. First of all, the Nerazzurri loaned Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo. In addition, Inter made a free transfer and brought in Marcus Thuram.

Inter also made loan deals with Asllani and Acerbi permanent. Juventus also welcomed Timothy Weah, who is the son of the legendary footballer George Weah, for €10.3. The Polish striker, Akradiusz Milik, who played for them in the previous season as a loaned player, has now joined on a permanent deal.

Napoli is not behind its fiercest rivals when it comes to load deals. The Blues completed a €26 and a €12 million transfer for the attacking duo of Giacomo Raspadori and Giovanni Simeone on a permanent. As loanees, they helped Napoli win the title and can do so much more after coming on as permanent players.

Roma has managed to sign as many as three new free players by now. Aouar, Ndicka, and Kristensen will be wearing the yellow and red jerseys. Two young players, Cancellieri and Gonzalez, will join Lazio for less than €10 million in total. Another interesting transfer includes Atalanta bringing the veteran Sead Kolasinac to their squad.

Serie A Predictions and Common Tips

With all the negative things happening to the Juventus fans, Napoli to win is probably the safest bet considering how great they are in every competition. In Italy, Serie A is the top football league which didn’t change a lot over the years. They are still playing the same style with a lot of unexpected outcomes. It can’t be compared to La Liga with fast transitions and smaller players or Premier League with a few teams that are in the top 10 list in the world.

You can find match previews and betting predictions on our website that can help you create better football betting tips, but there are also football predictions for other leagues from our professional tipsters. Some of them suggest that Serie A predictions should revolve around on current state of league tables and transfer news, especially in a season with a lot of drama.

Serie A Favourites and Betting Odds

The Italian trio is no longer at the top of the table with Napoli taking the lead way ahead. Juventus is out of the picture and Milan is struggling to reach the Champions League. Inter and Roma are the only teams that might have some chance to reach near Napoli, but it seems like we have a winner in the middle of the season.

Angel Di Maria did an amazing job for Juventus, but the players are not actually the ones that lost the points. The club did a poor job and now they are facing consequences. Roma became an established team once again with Paolo Dybala under their sleeve, but with 15 points behind Napoli in the season half, it will be very hard to beat them.

The champions AC Milan have done well to retain their entire title-winning squad. Divock Origi will strengthen their attacking line, but they were not able to retain midfielder Franck Kessie who left on a free for Barcelona.

Napoli, Lazio, Inter Milan, and Milan will be in the Champions League during the peak of the season, so that period will determine a lot. Atalanta and Roma are in the Europa League.

Italian Serie A Stats

Italian football has always been on the radar for fixed matches but that will always be a part of football. Statistics are quite similar to La Liga which is the lowest for the number of goals scored per match. Italian Serie A is at 2.56 goals per match and 50% for Both Teams to Score. They are on the top when it comes to away wins, standing at 31%.

Goal Stats

One of the best betting tips on Italian Serie is the correct score in the first half to be 0:0. Around 28% of the matches finish with this result while CS 1:0 is at 22%. They score the first goal a bit later compared to Bundesliga, the average time is 32 minutes.

Serie A 0.5+ 1.5+ 2.5+ 3.5+ 4.5+ BTTS NG
Total Goals 90′ 94.7% 75.3% 45.5% 24.2% 9.5% 50.3% 22.2%
Goals 45′ 71.6% 31.6% 8.9% 2.9% 0.3% 19.2% 26.2%

The last season of Italian football was dominated by Napoli and they are looking great this season as well. Inter Milan will try to get back on the throne since the 2020/21 season, but even if Junvetus finished in 7th place, the odds of them winning are quite low.

Serie A Competition Format

Each team will play a total of 38 games this season. Traditionally, the league format also means that the team with the most points at the end of the season will get to be crowned the Serie A champion.

The top four Italian teams will earn qualification to the Champions League next season. At the same time, the fifth team will earn a spot in the Europa League group stage qualification, while the sixth team on the table will get to play in the Conference League play-off round.

As before, the last three teams on the table will be relegated to Serie B and will be replaced by top teams from the second-tier league of Italian football.

Serie A Past Winners

Italians live and breathe football, so capturing the Scudetto means a lot to the fans. In its most recent history, Juventus has been the most dominant club in Italian football, with nine titles in a row. The only other teams that managed to win titles in this span were Inter and AC Milan.

But this season is shaping up to be one of the most interesting seasons to date. According to our predictions, all three teams have almost an equal chance to win the trophy and put a smile on their Tifosi faces.
