Milan have started 2010 in a fury of goals and glory. Optimism is at its highest ever as they are 6 points behind city rivals, Inter, with one game in hand. As the Milano derby approaches, Manager Leonardo knows his squad is ready for anything. They are unbeaten in 2010 with four straight wins, three in Serie A and one in the Coppa Italia. Most notably is the match in Torino against Juventus where they blew them away 3-0 on the night. Milan star Ronaldinho is rediscovering his magic and that has come in time for the derby. The Brazilian bagged a hat trick against Siena and also scoring twice against Genoa. David Beckham, Ambrosini and Pirlo have also pitched in. Milan will not have Pato available for the derby while team mates Clarence Seedorf, Zambrotta, Flamini and Nesta are doubtful to play on Sunday.
Inter have stood tall against Milan for the last few years and they are set to continue this trend against their neighbors. Jose Mourinho is looking forward to mastermind a way to put AC Milan back down to earth when his team takes the pitch on Sunday. His team are not far behind AC Milan’s good start to 2010, Inter have won two games and drawn one, and making them the second inform team in Serie A. Their last match at the Giuseppe Meazza was against Siena which they claim an epic comeback after being 3-2 down and to win the game 10 minutes from time, making it 4-3 on the night. Mourinho could be without Dejan Stankovic and Thiago Motta.
The three points on the line could determine where the title will end up this year. Could the title go to the Red half or the Blue half? A draw would be the most cautious approach to this tie but knowing AC Milan would not settle for a draw in this occasion. If there was one man that could determine the difference of both teams then it would be Ronaldinho, his magic is pure and inspirational and with a form like that, not even Mourinho would have a tactic to stop the momentum. This could end up a high scoring game, Milan to take the honors.
