"You won't see a better goal than that.."

As one comment wrote 'Barcelona eat your heart out". An absolute classic goal from Southampton against Liverpool at The Dell way back on April 24th 1982. It won Goal of the Year honours for Mick Channon and was his last goal for the Saints. Liverpool won the match 3-2 and went on to the win the First Division title by 4 points to Ipswich Town, while Southampton finished the season in 7th place.

"Probably the best outfield catch you've ever seen..."

In the Australian summer of 1989, in front of a packed MCG, Steven "Woah Woah" Waugh takes one of the best outfield catches you are likely to ever see in a cricket match. Running with the flight of the ball, towards not only the sight screen but a menacing Merv Hughes approaching at top speed, Waugh hung on to take the catch, giving us not only a catch to remember, but yet another great moment of commentary from Tony Grieg. Australia went on to defeat the West Indies by 8 runs.

"Break Point..."

If you don't have a smile on your face at the 1:25 mark of this clip, there is something wrong with you. Jimmy Connors at age 39 defies the naysayers and goes on a wild ride all the way to the semi-finals of the 1991 US Open. Along the way he met Paul Haarhuis in the quarter-finals. Deep in the match, Connors breaks serve winning 3 consecutive points, the final of which is simply magic.

"This is great stuff..."

Sensational try by the Barbarians up against the All Blacks in the Final Challenge match way back in 1973. Gareth Edwards scores the opening try of the match, a try which is hailed by many as the greatest rugby try of alltime. The Barbarians would go on to win an epic match 23-11.

"Make Plays!"

If you haven't heard this before, sit back, relax and settle in for one of the greatest sports radio rants of alltime, now with video accompaniment. Detroit sports radio host, Mike Valenti is a little disappointed that his Michigan State Spartan's gave away a 37-21 lead in the final quarter to rivals Notre Dame, losing 37-40. Just when you think he can't take it up another gear, he does. Best line? "Your timeouts aren't cell phone minutes!! They don't carry over!!"

"Also celebrating birthdays tonight..."

Ok, this is pretty obviously a set up, but the Greenman's final assisted escape from his yellow comrade has to get a laugh. Just for purposes of trivia, the Madison Mallards come from Madison, Wisconsin, competing in the Northwoords League, winning the league championship back in 2004. Oh and a happy birthday to Valeria, Chris, Aiden and Austin.

Impressive Southampton goal. Here is what should be the most curious of penalty kicks. Unfortunately the player died in a car accident a few days ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcSY-MVE6ZU
