1. Lokeren has nothing to play for but their pride, they will in any case end as number 6 in playoffs

3. Lokeren have some important missings, like their keeper Copa who is replaced by Lazic, but that guy made so many mistakes that has cost goals to Lokeren, that it ain't funny any more for their fans.
4. Anderlecht is again in a positive flow with 2 consecutive wins
5. Anderlecht won home game against Lokeren with ease (3-0), and I see no reason why the class difference wouldn't be the same tonight.

But Lokeren is a dangourous team out of home. They do not lose often away, and if they lose, it is always with only 1 goal difference, so perfect for this bet. Knowing Anderlecht is struggling lately, and Lokeren always scores at least 1 goal if they lose, Anderlecht have to make 3 to lose this bet, and I doubt this will happen. This game is very like to end OVER 2.5 but I am going to go with both teams to score to be on the safe side. The odds are not so bad after all.
We have Lokeren as the host team, who started the new year with a smashing 2-6 win against Lueven on the road and Anderlecht, the table leader, who also stole a win from Gent.

We're one week away from the start of the Belgian league, and as usual, the Supercup is on the program. Champions Anderlecht face Cup Winners Lokeren at home.
Anderlecht has a new coach, with Dutchman John Van Den Brom, and will surely want to prove they are ready for the new championship. On the other hand, Anderlecht ahs some issues. Central defenders Kouyate (Olympics) & Juhasz (Injured) won't play, which means Wasilewski and Deschacht (both usually wing backs at Anderlecht) will play in the centre of the defense. Also star player Matias Suarez is injured.
The new coach decided to slightly change the way of playing, with only 1 instead of 2 defensive midfielders. Kljestan seems to become the victim of this change, while promising youngster Dennis Praet will propably gets his chances this season. Apart from that, Van Den Brom holds on to a 4-3-3 formation.
Expected line-up: Proto - Odoi, Wasilewski, Deschacht, Safari - Biglia, Kanu, Praet - Jovanovic, Mbokani, Gillet
At Lokeren, nothing really changed actually. Same coach, no big outgoing transfers, and three incoming transfers with Saglik (Eupen, and star of the second division last season), Milos Maric (Lierse, experienced midfielder), and Grbac (Croatian winger). Maric only signed yesterday, so it's a question if he will immediately gets his place in the first eleven.
For tomorrow's game first goalkeeper Copa is out injured.

Anderlecht will be playing with Lokeren for the Belgium super cup in a match with clear favouritism to Anderlecht that is the best team in Belgium and fot internal matches as a really strong team.
For this match i predict a result close to 2-0 or 3-1 to Anderlecht, that plays a great offensive football, with all the team involved in the attack process everytime. Despite the efforts, i don't see lokeren with the chance of holding the powerfull anderlecht, and after some medium level friendly matches, i believe that they can conceed 3 or 4 goals in this match.

In this decisor match to the Super Cup in Belgium I expect the Champions of Belgium to win and to perform a consistent and well played match of football.
The league is just knocking at the door and Anderlecht pre season was good.They got some motivating wins and in Europa League their opponent will be Shamrock from Ireland or Ekranas from Lithuania which I consider a good raffle.
Lokeren picked some draws in the pre season, one of the draws was with Al Shaab that I don´t consider a particular motivating result.
A defeat in the last friendly match with Leuven must have taken some confidence from Lokeren players to this match too.
