Glasgow Celtic have a great chance to reach knock-out stages in Champions League first time in 4 seasons, as last time they qualified from group stages was in 2008.
Celtic have shown some really good team spirit and enjoyable football in CL so far, overcoming Spartak in Moscow 3-2, almost drawing with Barcelona in Camp Nou, and winning against Blaugrana at home 2-1.
Playing against Spartak again in last match of group stage in Parkhead, could've not come at a better time. Russian side have sacked their coach Unai Emery, after an humiliating 5-1 defeat against city-rivals Dinamo. Estonian-born Spartak legend Valery Karpin, also a sporting director, was appointed as a caretaker manager until the end of the season as his second coaching stint with the club. His first match back at helm of Spartak was rather dissapointing 2-4 home loss to Zenit.
Celtic will be missing Victor Wanyama(suspended) and possibly Scott Brown and James Forrest, who have been struggling with injuries. Even with these players out, home side will be boosted with confidence and backing from the stands will help them to secure win against Russian side who are low on confidence and lack any motivation, as last place in group is a reality for them.

Celtic has never made a double over any opponent in CL group stage and they have never reached 10 points. What is more they profited from being underestimated by other teams so far IMO as Barca missed like 8-10 very good chances to score in each match against them and Spartak were leading 2-1 at home against them just to got stupid red card and imploded completely. Now after Valeri Karpin took over again I think Spartak will be more calm and relaxed here and all the pressure will be on Celtic as they must do better than Benfica at Nou Camp. What is more I see Barca winning there even with mixed team, so here Celtic will be through with a draw. They will miss badly Winyama and Pat McCourt, James Forrest with Dylan McGeouch. I'm taking this bet late, the odds have dropped, but still they have some value.
For Celtic it's one of the most important games in the last years. They have a great chance to qualify to the next round of CL. They have 7 pts like Benfica, but they gonna play on they home turf against Spartak, while Benfica will face Barcelona in away game.
Of course, already qualified Barcelona will probably put on the field some players from the bench, but even players from the Barcelon's bench present a great value and are able to oppose Benfica.
The pressure on the team from Glasgow will be huge, but what they can do on their home ground in front of the fantastic audience, showed a game against Barcelona.
Celtic won also the away game with Spartak 3:2.
Spartak has nothing to fight for, they won't be so motivated as Celtic. They are in terrible form last time, losing all the games.

I cant believe this, and the bookies felt their mistake, starting to increase the odds for draw and away win. celtic was quite lucky to win in Russia with 2;3, after stupid Spartak mistakes and red card. Now Celtic shoukl attack, and should press the opponent, being dominant, a role which is not so well known by the scottish team in the CL.
Spartak will miss Welliton but he wont sign new contract and wont be blow. Also Ananidze is out, but he missesd some good chances last game and I am not impressed by him. Only big miss is Romulo but he is out for a long time.
Celtic will miss key defender and midfielder which will affect. Their crowd will be great and Celtic will search the historical goal, but I cant see them to have the same luck as agaisnt Barcelona
