Captain of FC København, Matthias Zanka Jorgensen, lead his team to their first defeat this season in the midweek 3-1 defeat in the Champions League. He has to get his concentration elsewhere as they travel to Horsens for a top bill encounter.

AC Horsens vs. FC København

A top bill on Saturday in the Superligaen when Horsens hosts the current Danish champions, FC København in a game where three points are essential for both sides. Horsens needs the three points to make sure they close the gap between them and the champions, while FC København can break off from the rest and continue leading the league from the rest.

The home side is looking to make amends to their display after a 1-1 setback away to Lyngby last weekend. It certainly didn’t derail the spirits but a bit of a disappointment knowing that they could have done better and this weekend, they have another chance to demonstrate why they are still undefeated in the Superligaen with 2 wins and 3 draws. Gilberto Macena has certainly come into the spotlight for Horsens with his goals this season. His direct approach to the game has influence what the team has been doing, direct football and no nonsense in front of the goal. It’s likely they have something to prove this weekend so watch out for the bumble bee home team who will learnt from their mistake by not finishing the game off.

FC København is defending their top spot in the Danish league and they are no stranger to that. Travelling to Horsens does seem a bit of a concern when the home team is on a 100% win rate while Copenhagen has their own record to maintaining as their 100% win away is also important for the confidence.  The Copenhagen club suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to Plzen in the midweek champions league encounter, so their minds might be already imagine how they will be reversing that disadvantage. In order for that to happen, it looks like that key players might be rested while players like Cesar Satin and Johan Absalonsen will get a sniff. Claudemir is doubtful to play on Saturday as he went out in the midweek with a knock.

Predictions: A draw could be on the card as both teams won’t be wanting to lose this one.

AGF vs. Brøndby IF

This is a battle of the relegations strugglers and who would have thought that AGF will be above their opposition when they meet on Sunday at the NRGi Park. Beside the opening win this season, AGF has found their place yet and with two draws and two defeats, they have slipped to the bottom half of the league. Their football has been a bit of a start and stop situation. It could go either way and this is mostly blamed on the defensive work not being up to scratch. There are certain times when they are not concentrating but fear not as one of the striker Peter Grauland could be on the verge to see more goals to come against his former team.

Brøndby IF is already 8 points away from the league leaders and their fans won’t be happy to see themselves so far down in the league. Things aren’t happening for the yellow and blue, which seems to that crisis is still continuing due to the lack points collected. The goals are coming but once again the defensive duties are lacking, while the midfield is just not connecting with the rest and a bit lack of concentration when under threat. Inexperience could be an excuse to throw out there but Coach Henrik Jensen would not take that as the answer as surely he knows going back to basics will be the key to reviving this team. A tough away match while will see the away struggle for pace and pressure.

Predictions: Home win to give more misery for the away team to further endure their crisis mode.

SønderjyskE vs Aab

Monday night football will see a top half fight between an ever so improving SønderjyskE team taking on an surprising and as well as undefeated Aab team. Both teams are surely one of the most improved teams from last season, much emphasis would be on Aab who survived the relegation battle and finding themselves second in the league this season. Aab got the three points over OB last weekend while SønderjyskE drew 2-2 against Brøndby. Both are tough overall but it just seems like Aab edges out on the defensive duties and that could be key to the prospect that they won’t looking at a defeat this Monday.

Predictions: A draw should not be underestimate here despite Aab’s good form.
