BEST BRIAN BAKER VS ALEX KUZNETSOV PREDICTION

Brian Baker to win
Tipped at: 2.50 - 29th Jul 17:02
Brian Baker - Andrey Kuznetsov, challenger Lexington, quarterfinal. Baker is 31 years old player from USA. He is 384th on ATP rankings. His best career ranking is 52nd place. Baker has 9-12 w/l record this season. In Lexington he won against Evans and Broady. Andrey Kuznetsov is 29 years old player from USA. He is 305th on ATP rankings in this moment. Kuznetsov has 32-13 this season. Lot of his wins came from challengers, but he also have one quarterfinal (challenger Winnetka). Kuznetsov until now in Lexington won 3 matches in qualification (against Arconada, Crepaldi and Wallart) and 2 in main draw (vs Londero and Kozlov). Baker is struggling this season and Kuznetsov has value with this odds. My pick is Kuznetsov.
Alex Kuznetsov loses 77% of the matches when losing the first set

EARLY BIRD TOP TIP

Brian Baker to win

I have backed for and against Baker time and time again since his comeback to the sport and it appears as though the bookies are yet to understand his level of tennis. He comes up against Alex Kuznetsov today of which has managed to pick up a lot of wins outside the ITF tour which is impressive enough for him however Baker should be a test which he is not yet ready for and I actually think that Baker will win this in straights however I shall not be playing that but instead playing carefully with the outright market. Tennis, Singles, Quarter Finals of Challenger tournament in USA, in Lexington on hard surface between Brian Baker from USA and Alex Kuznetsov from USA as well, starting from 22:00 on program today. So Brian Baker is an old school player from America that was injured but recently got back like some time ago and already progressed to 384th place on ATP list, while Alex Kuznetsov is also an experienced player, but a big struggle if I can call him like that, considering that he has been playing on challenger tournaments for years already and forever stuck around this ranking of 305th place. These are 2 very similar type of players in terms of playstyle, but I think that it is time for a Challenger title for Brian Baker here and I think that he is going to win easy in this Quarter Finals against Alex in straight sets, so Good Luck.

I had some doubts in Kuznetsov yesterday when he played against Kozlov, actually I didnt believe at him at all, but Kuznetsov proved that he is in form, that he is ready and prepared well for this tournament. Tonight he will play another US derby, against 2 years older Brian Baker here in Lexington Challenger. Kuznetsov played in qualifications here , so we can say that 5 wins till now are solid success. At the other side, he won 3 times in 3 sets, which means that his mental toughness is on high level. But, it also means that he is little bit tired. In similar situation today I give more chances to Baker who is fresher.

Brian Baker (384) of USA plays fellow American Alex Kuznetsov (305) in a local Lexington Challenger event in Kentucky, USA. Brian Baker is a 30+ yr old veteran who has seemed to impress many in his brief return to more competitive games. While he has gone through his initial stages with relative ease, his opponents so far haven't offered so much in my mind. Enter Alex, who has gotten this far all the way from qualifiers. I wonder why he is not given so much of a chance against this player. For one, he is higher ranked at the moment. He's also proved himself more on the hard courts playing/winning more games well in recent times. He does have good number of faults which Baker could capitalize on. This is not to say he won't have a good shot at this too. Taking the over... Success.
