FA Cup

is the oldest football competition in the world. It starts from August to May. Although it includes women’s tournament, it is mainly known for the men’s. The Cup is open to all clubs and involves a large number of team participation that belongs and a member of the Football Association, from lower division to the top clubs in England. These are the clubs in the next six levels of the English football league system, from the Football league and in the Premier League. What is so good about FA Cup is that it can be won by any club.

It is a competition where the underdog makes history and brings massive shocks when they surprisingly become giant slayer in the tournament when they beat a big team. The Rounds in the Cup

The competition stars from August up to May where the final is held at the most prestigious stadium in England, Wembley Stadium. The cup competition has an overall 14 rounds because of a large number of clubs battling out with each other. It starts with a sequence of 6 qualifying rounds, then another 2 preliminary rounds, followed by a first qualifying round where the lowest ranked clubs enter. It will be carried on by the first proper round to the fifth which is the quarter finals. Afterwards, comes the semi finals and the final, which is both played in the Wembley Stadium.
In the first proper round, the winners from the first qualifying rounds will be joined by the clubs from the League One and League Two. The big clubs from the Premier League will enter the completion in the third round proper.

FA Cup System

It is a knockout phase and each tie is played in a single leg unless there is a draw during the final score. When there is a draw, another game will be played but the next time around, it will be on the home ground of the visiting or away team from the first game. Replay game could be held at least 10 days after. During the replay game, if the result is still draw, it will now be settled with the implementation of extra time and penalty shootouts.

Although the Cup is usually dominated by the big four teams, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, any team could get lucky and knock them out of the competition. You should never underestimate a lower-ranked team in the FA Cup competition. Good luck with your FA Cup Betting!
