The three day meeting was officially inaugurated with a dinner at a renowned restaurant in the heart of Gdansk. Between one Polish delicacy and another the new BettingExpert team members exchanged a good chat and got acquainted with each other at the sound of “The Godfather” theme song played on accordion. The food was meticulously prepared and the atmosphere was equally impressive.

Afterwards it was time to hit some Gdansk clubs, starting with an 80’s club and later moving on to a more frequented disco curiously named “Parlament”. It was an enjoyable first night together which came to an end in the early hours of the morning. We headed to our respective residences to get some sleep ahead of a full programme for the day after, leaving Karakan behind in very good company.

To Hel and back

Julian had promised a day packed with activities, and so it was. The unlucky ones who overslept and missed breakfast were to regret it as the minivan drive to the Hel Peninsula was to take a full three hours. However, it was an enjoyable ride offering all first-time visitors of Poland some pleasing countryside views.

In the minivan were most of the BettingExpert team members except those who unfortunately could not attend due to some reason or another. In the front seats were Julian and his siblings Paulina, Alicja and Joshua, together with another Polish BettingExpert collaborator, Gregory. Right behind sat Henrik, Chris and Levsky. kobra, serek and his girlfriend followed, whilst at the very back Jes, Karakan and David completed the group.

After some healthy beach soccer verging on the spectacular, with moves deserving of applause by Ronaldinho himself, we took a boat trip back to Gdansk. There, over the Polish seas, the title of BettingExpert Poker Champion for 2008 was to be awarded. Karakan was determined to take last year’s runner-up spot up one notch but in the end lost out to Chris after a prolonged exchange of elusive poker faces between the two.

Improving BettingExpert

Discussion about ways how to improve BettingExpert in general and especially about the new format for the Member Service was ongoing all throughout. The BettingExpert administration listened to advice from two of the best tipsters composing the present Member Service, Karakan and Levsky, who agreed that the new system was a definite improvement for both tipsters and paying members alike.

VIPs in Sopot

The night was still young that second day so we headed straight to Sopot in one of the best clubs in the Gdansk region were we were served with VIP treatment and loads of vodka, perhaps too much vodka as Karakan said after proving himself a true party animal.

The BettingExpert Champions League final

The sun had already been up in the sky for some hours before we went to sleep that night so understandably our alarm clocks were set to ring at noon or thereabouts. Once we were all up on our feet we stepped into our sports kits and headed for the football pitch to contest the first ever BettingExpert Champions League final.

The match saw Levsky show off some stylish tackling in true Cannavaro fashion whilst Henrik proved himself a born hitman as he scored four to become the top scorer of the game. In the end the match was decided with some slick one-two passing between the Laudrup brothers, Chris and Henrik, with the latter finishing off the move for a one-goal marginal win.

Time for farewells

They had been three enjoyable days that helped create better cohesion and cooperation between the people behind BettingExpert with the hope of providing visitors with an ever improving service. For those of you who were not present but feel that their ideas might help improve our product do not hesitate to e-mail us.

Special thanks must go to Jes, Chris and Henrik who made the meeting possible, and to Julian and Paulina who worked hard to set a well organized programme and make all required arrangements for an unforgettable BettingExpert meeting.
