The NBA is one of the four most popular American sports and very shown worldwide around the globe. The professional basketball league consists of thirty teams and 29 of them are from the United States and one from Canada. The thirty two teams are split into two division, Eastern and Western Conference to compete for the ultimate prize of winning the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy usually taken place in spring.

The NBA season consists of a regular season and a playoff stage. The regular season begins in the first week of November and all teams will compete in 82 games. Each team will get 41 home and away games before deciding who will get into the NBA playoffs. The best eight teams from each division will advance to the playoffs. The playoffs are a best of seven elimination rounds and the best team in the Eastern Conference will meet the best team in the Western Conference in the NBA Final to compete for the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.

Boston Celtics are the most successful basketball club in the NBA history with 17 trophies followed closely by the Los Angeles Lakers with 15. Then comes the Chicago Bulls with 6 and San Antonio Spurs with 4.
