Andy Murray and Roger Federer are Back in Wimbledon

First and foremost, there won’t be any Rafael Nadal representing Spain so it will have to be down to David Ferrer to take charge. The French will lose one of their players to injury as Gael Monfils withdraw from the Olympic tennis competitions. Wimbledon wasn’t that long ago since the men gazed the grass at Centre Court for the final between Roger Federer and Andy Murray in the last action of the Grand Slam. For the Olympics, most of the top single for the men event will fight it all out again but this time for an Olympic medal.

The favourites to pick up the gold will see the finalist of Wimbledon be the front runners. Both Roger Federer and Andy Murray might meet yet again after the showdown earlier in July month and both have never won gold in the single event. That goes for Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, semi-finalist in Wimbledon, and Juan Martin del Potro, both heading the field as the alternatives. However, if there is one man that has done it before than no need to look further than Serbian Novak Djokovic, who collected bronze in 2008 and currently second in the world ranking. The Serbian must have been disappointed with his performance at the grand slam and hopefully he can correct a few things for the Olympics. Like Serena Williams who is the favorite to win the Olympic Tennis Women's Single, Djokovic is the bookmakers favorite in this event.

The Americans would be an outsider for the medals, John Isner, Andy Roddick and Ryan Harrison will be hoping for more fortunate while Tomas Berdych, Milos Raonic and Bernard Tomic are arranging their own assault at SW19.
