LeBron James & Big D

Hitting all the sweet spots, Miami Heat LeBron James can't wait to get on court to face Dallas Maverick in the NBA Finals 2011. Mavericks Big Dirk will provide all his strengthen that he can muster to stop the Heat from taking his chance of winning his first NBA Championship in his career.

Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks

A repeat of the 2006 NBA Final where one of them were bound to be NBA Champions for the first time in their history, Miami Heat took all honors back then with an epic comeback from 2-0 down in the series to win it 4-2, the Dallas Mavericks have waited 6 years to avenge their disastrous first attempt of the NBA final so hopefully the Mavs are more equip this time round. Miami Heat will start the series at home first with the seven games, If need for the 2011 NBA Final.

Miami Heat will have the physiological advantage over the Dallas Mavericks going into their second NBA Final in history but in fairness only key player Dwayne Wade will salvage that victory feeling as he is one of the surviving players of the winning team of  2006 NBA Final. Never the less, the current Miami Heat should be able to match the winning team of 2006, if not better as key players like Chris Bosh and LeBron James have really shone their worth in the conference final win over Chicago Bulls. The trio, including D-Wade, is their weapon but much credit should also go to Coach Erick Spoelstra. He might have the trio to score him a 80 points per game but it is the defensive that has deem impossible to play against. The Bulls experience a solid and disciplined Heat defense and by that, the Heat are well in truly able to play ball on either side of the court. What was more interesting is that the Heat pressured the Bulls every inch of the court and driving the Bulls to do turnovers, and of course, Heat in the transition and pretty much beating the Bulls in their own game. The Heat might have the trio to count for but they need the bench to contribute, it is a final after all and everyone needs to be their best.

Their second final but still no wins at the Final, can the Dallas Mavericks change their history in 2011 by beating the Miami Heat? That word Miami Heat is something that the Mavs aren’t fond of and especially with Dirk Nowitzki, as his entire career is missing that NBA Final ring. The Dallas Mavericks, like the Miami Heat, finished their opponent in the Conference Finals with a 4-1 win in the series. The Mavs are on a mission and unlike the NBA Final opponent, they have stars on their team but mainly a team unity that has carried them into the NBA Final. So expect some fireworks and multiple bodies thrown at the Heat trio and of course, whoever that can manage to stop LeBron James. Apart from the expected ones to fly high from Big D, Jason Terry and Shawn Marion, something to add into the mix are both JJ Barea and  Peja Stojakovic. Both players gives the Mavs a different dimension and a few extra points, espically from Peja Stojakovic, who is finding his form around the arc and Barea is capable of leading the offensive side from time to time. Both players will need to get their big game face on or otherwise all is left for the starting five to do their thing, which means no special weapon available.

There is a difference in playing style from both teams and evidently 6 years ago, it wasn’t Dallas Mavericks time, and fast forward 2011, it still might not be Mavs time either as they are up against a virtually improved and better Heat team lead by D-Wade once again. Surely one of the three will be able to take down Big Dirk but reverse, can Mav do the same against the trio? One positive sign is that there is team depth in the Mavs team this time around and so pushing the Heat further could be something different in this series. D-Wade struggled against the Bulls but if he returns to his old self than the Mavs will have a tough time handling him, never mind LeBron James. The Heat three joined forced  together was in particular to win the NBA championship, now they are there, they are half way to their mission and everything that went wrong during the regular season, seemed to disappeared in the playoffs and with that mind, Heat will win their second and keep the aging Maverick looking for their first.
