Two champions will be squaring up in the ring this Saturday and titles will be on the line, even careers. Wladimir Klitschko will take this as his home turf taking on Brit's very own, David Haye for the Heavyweight Unification and all that trash talking will stop once the bell is rung at the Imtech Arena.
Wladimir Klitschko vs. David Haye (Heavyweight Unification)
The Heavyweight Unification is a fight where the betting community is looking for, the fight between Ukrainian IBF, IBO, WBO and Ring Magazine Champion, Wladimir Klitschko and WBA Champion, David Haye at the Imtech Arena, Hamburg in Germany on Saturday , 2July with the approx. start time of 23:00BST. This fight will hopefully see a winner that will take all the belts and maybe a defeat could see either fighter retire after this game.
The big Ukrainian is angry, angry at the his opposition who has been calling him names, making comments about finishing off by decapitating him by executions style. Those comments will any man boil and you don’t piss off a 1.99 meter high giant with a reach of 205cm. This is not a man that will be classified as an easy fight, he has done 58 fights, 55 wins (49 KOs), lost 3 and undefeated in 12 fights. Those fights saw him winning four big titles and taking on David Haye will certainly add more medal to his trophy cabinet. Although, Wladimir hasn’t fought since September 2010 after beating Samuel Peter, as he was set to fight Dereck Chisora but both in December 2010 and April 2011, the fight was postponed due to recovering from a teared muscle in his abdominal. So age 35 and without any ring time for a year, this could be a tough fight for him and getting angry might just be something to get his fighting spirit back. Coach Emanuel Steward will be behind Wladimar in the ring and a full house in Hamburg, where he has a massive backing in every corner.
The British fighter, David Haye is already throwing all the mind game he can muster against his first really opponent since gaining the WBA title by beating Nikolay Valuev. There is another record that need to be settle is that David Haye has announced he will be retiring from the sport with or without the titles. So expect some kind of controversy just like how it started with big Valuev. This fight will be his 27th show ring and with 25 wins (23 KOs), one defeat and undefeated in two games, beating Audley Harrison and John Ruiz by TKO in his last two fights. Nickname the “Hayemaker”, he is famous to make jibe to his opponents but one thing he does well, is that he delivers. The Hayemaker delivers and he has promise himself that the end destination will be Wladimir’s borther Vitali after he finishes the first Klitschko in Germany. The 30 year old at 1.91m and with a 198 cm reach, this is his biggest ever match that he will stand to fight in his career.
The setting is set, Wladimir Klitschko is favorites in beating David Haye in his second home, Germany. The big Ukrainian is mobile and a natural heavyweight, his strength, size, reach and weight are all advantages for Wladimir Klitschko and if David Haye lets him settle in during the match, the big champ will get his way. The Brit needs to pull his socks up and live up to what he claims with the media. He promised that he will be tearing it up and if he wants to be the champion of all champion, he needs to shock Wladimir from the start. It will be all strategy, brains and muscle together might get Haye the title and being quick, sharp and agile. Wladimir Klitschko likes to finish his opponent near the end of the fight so stamina isn’t his weakness so it doesn’t look likely that the Hayemaker will be trying to win this by points. David Haye needs a knockout while Wladimir Klitschko looks to have the advantage on points.
