Brazil National Team is deemed to be one of the fierce opponent in any tournament that they take part with, due to their illustrious title they hold under their name. Considered to be the most successful and famous international team in the world, the Canarinho, is the defending champion of the Copa America. After winning the 1949 South American Championship title, it was a 40-year dry spell for the Verde-Amarel. But when they did triumphly won against the host nation Bolivia in 1987, there has no stopping back for the Selecao. In the last five of the tournament’s championship final, Brazil won back to back in 1997 and 1999 and consecutively won again in 2004 and 2007. In their last victory in Venezuela, the reigning champion defeated Copa America host nation Argentina in a 3-0 match. Putting aside their disappointing outing in South Africa World Cup last year, coach Mano Menezes will lead Brazil will in the hope to take on a hat-trick as they defend their title in this year’s Copa America.
