N. Doye returns to the F.C. København squad to boost the frontal options and push for further wins. However it is AC Horsens who they are chasing and something has to give. It looks likely that HB Køge will be at the receiving end when F.C. København visits them on Sunday.

AC Horsens vs. Aab (Saturday)

The league leaders, Horsens, has been outstanding so far in their campaign. Topping the Danish league and with emphatic 4-1 away victory over Brøndby IF last weekend, they are seriously sending out signals of their intentions for some silverware this season. The only difference between them and other two title contenders, OB and F.C. København, is that they have only the domestic duties to content with. They are surely rested well and also tactical prepared for the Saturday where they can continue to bridge their gap at the top.

Aab are certainly doing better than what they were last season. Improvements and progression within the squad are evident so more positive is expected. Their 1-0 win over FC Midtjylland has set the tone with Aab as they are a strong home team but slight weaker when on the road. The travel to Horsens on Saturday might be a tough fight but surely they will be going into this game with a full heart to beat the league leader. Aab needs  a bit more discipline at the back if they want to take points home.

HB Køge vs. F.C. København (Sunday)

Bottom club HB Køge is looking to find a way to open their account in the Superligaen as they are sitting firmly at the foot of the league. It’s their fourth game into the season and with three consecutive defeats, there isn’t much left to the imagination of what is coming up for them as the reigning Danish champions come by on Sunday. HB Køge will struggle at home as that is certainly down to their organization at the back, sometimes as a whole.

Anything but winning is really what Copenhagen is all about. Having qualified into the playoffs into the Champions League after a 3-0 on agg. over Irish Shamrocks, F.C. København is on a mission to start steam rolling in the domestic league. This could yet be another big test for the capital club as they face one of the bottom club in the league and after playing an important game in Europe, could the F.C. København squad find in themselves to stay consistent and beat any club that comes their way. The return of N. Doye is a boost for the club and with either Diouf or Santin to partner him, goals will be flustering for sure.

F.C. København is slowly gelling together and their good form will show soon. The team might not be at their best form but they are still winning their game. With a squad depth better than any squad in the league, F.C. København should have enough to blow away HB Køge whether they have played extra games over the midweek.

OB vs. Brøndby IF (Sunday)

The sensation was met in the midweek in the Champions League for OB when they dumped Panathinaikos out of the Champions League with a 4-3 agg. winning in Greece with a 3-2 scoreline. This is certainly one of the biggest achievements in OB’s history but it has its own consequence. Before OB traveled to Greece, they drew with AGF 2-2 last weekend and this weekend, they will face Brøndby IF at home, and fatigue could play a role in their return to Danish soil.

Brøndby IF is creating all the headlines that are negative and crisis is still ongoing after Coach Michael Laudrup left the club a few years ago. They haven’t being able to recover and certainly the 4-1 home defeat to league leaders, Horsens, last weekend has put Brøndby IF into some crisis mode. Winning is everything for the Copenhagen suburban team and only a victory will calm both their fans and the board, maybe also letting Brøndby coach live another day. Another poor result will see Brøndby season go into tatters and with already one away win out of one, things do look more positive away from home. Hopefully this is where they are playing without pressure.

The roles have reverse between OB and Brøndby IF, a few years ago, it was Brøndby IF who was forcing themselves to be part of the elite status of European football, today it is OB that is living the dream to get there. This is surely something Brøndby IF will find hard to face but the worse part is that their three points here doesn’t even look secure at all. A top game where both teams doesn’t want to lose so a draw could be the solution.
