By David, BettingExpert.com | Edited

The four groups of the Euro 2012 will be drawn on the 2nd of December and you can follow it live as it takes place in Kyiv, Ukraine, starting at 18:00 CET.

Sixteen teams have made it to the finals taking place in Poland and Ukraine with the hosts already assigned to Group A and Group D respectively. The rest of the teams will be assigned a group on Friday the 2nd of December and then they will all be meeting in the two host countries when the action kicks off on the 8th of June at 18:00 CET.

Uefa has already allocated each team to a different pot, ranked according to their coefficient. Pot A includes the two host countries along with teams currently ranked top of the list in Europe in terms of coefficients – Spain and Holland.

From the four different pot compositions, with a team from each to be drawn into every group – apart from Group A and Group D which already contain a pre-assigned team. Teams currently allocated to the same pot, therefore, cannot end up in the same group.

Wow,the 2nd and the 3rd strongest national football teams on Earth against each-other...C.Ronaldo's Portugal and even Denmark shouldn't be understimated though with the latter having decent head-to-head records against Portugal.
Surely the Iron Group but I see Germany the favourite to go through and even to win the tournament. Germany,no more the 3rd place please...

The perfect draw for "us", the Croatians! Somebody may laugh about that, but it is a fact that we look much better against stronger teams than when facing "weaker" opponents. Besides of that, Italy (3-2-0) is our "old customer" and Spain (1-1-2) is welcome to test their tica-taca football against us. We will give away one point to our Irish friends in the opening group game, beat the hell out of our maritime neighbors from Italy and draw against Spain, as simple as that. Five points then should be enough for the 2nd place in the group to advance to the Quarterfinals were we will meet a Russian side which should finish atop of their Eastern-block group ahead of the Czech Republic, Poland or Greece. With that said, I've already found a long-term bet. Stay tuned until June 2013.

I mean 2012, off course!

Very optimistic outlook poglavica. If the Italians start well against Spain - they like playing them - it will be hard to bring them down. But there are always surprises in these big tournaments and Croatia can surely be one of those.

They did win against highly favoured Germany in the group stage four years ago. Full points only to bow out in the quarters against Turkey.

I agree Germany are favourites Otto Von Bismarck. We'll see if they can start better than the last time. The potential is definitely there.
