Barca Champion

Barcelona will return to Nou Camp as champions and what a great way to celebrate it by beating La Coruna on the day. Whether that happens or not, Barca will find a way to score and be happy while Real Madrid travels to Villareal in hope for more goals and finish the season with two more wins, despite being over run by Barca.

Barcelona vs. Deportivo La Coruna

Done and dusted in the midweek, a 1-1 away draw in the midweek to Levante was enough to secure yet another Spanish La Liga title. That would be the their successive league title and yet another season where the big league title and champions league trophy could end up in the Catalan’s hand again. First of all, the title needs to be celebrated at the Nou Camp and surely Coach Pepe Guardiola could rest a few players this Sunday. Barcelona had no more than six Spainish international players and also with Lionel Messi, who could get a few more goals before the season ends. All there is to do from now on is to avoid injuries and nursing themselves fit for the trip to London in a fortnight’s time.

La Coruna is on the verge to be tipped over on the iceberg if their rivals managed to get all three points and settle with a defeat to Barcelona on Sunday. They are current 42 points above Getafe and Real Zaragoza with respectively 2 points and 3 points so any points gained for the away team will help team escape the relegation scare with two games to go. The midweek saw La Coruna collect three vital points against Athletic Bilbao so another good solid performance from Adrian would aid them to retain status in the La Liga. It will come down to Juan Carlos Valeron to help his team escape anymore heartache this season.

Villarreal vs. Real Madrid

A sprinkle of hope to capture the third place in the La Liga looks very distance as there is only two games left and Valencia needing only one point to secure third spot. Villarreal will fail at the final hurdle once again in achieving a higher position due to their two successive draws in the last two games against Mallorca and Almeria, both away games. They return to their home ground with a lesser motivation as third place is beyond them while securing fourth spot as they lead 8 points from their nearest rivals in fifth place. Having said that, it still remains to be seen whether the players will turning up the notch against Real Madrid, if that is to happen then Rossi, Nilmar and Marchena will have to start putting more effort into their plays.

After the disappointment of losing the El Clasico both in domestically and in Europe, Real Madrid on the team that are in their way in the La Liga. Their next victim seems to be Villareal after crushing Sevilla 6-2 away and brushing off Getafe 4-0 at home in the midweek.  Cristiano Ronaldo continued his scoring after hitting his second hattrick in a space of four days. However the headlines are not dominated with the happy goal scoring Real Madrid but the UEFA ongoing saga with Barcelona and also the exit plans of a few superstars in the Real current squad. Biggest name rumour to left the capital club is Kaka, with the sights to return to Milan while Adebayor will leave the club if he is not offer a contract. But getting back to the game, a little bit too late but Ronaldo will keep on scoring so expect an all out offensive team with only goals on the night.
