Pato MilanThe Brazilian duo, Pato and Robinho, could secure Milan's Scudetto this season if they keep on hitting the target like they did against Inter last weekend while Fiorentina awaits this Sunday evening. Arch rivals, Inter will play agianst Chievo on Saturday and hopeless Bari might not be that hopeless afterall if they beat Catania on Sunday.

Inter Milan vs. Chievo

The season could be over for the Nerazzurri, it was a fairy tale that Coach Leonardo could guide Inter back into the Scudetto frame or even the hint to defend the Champion League trophy. All of that is falling into pieces in a space of one week and a draw or home defeat to Chievo will end any hopes of silverware this season. Six years of success and with the 3-0 defeat to Milan at Derby della Madonnina saw Inter fall behind to five points in the league and midweek’s 5-2 home defeat to Schalke 04 virtually puts Inter out of the champions league too, unless a miracle 4 goal winning margin next midweek is to come. So the season has turn upside down and the future of Leonardo is in question, what will Inter bring at the Sadio Meaza on Saturday? Well, Cristian Chivu will serve his suspension, in comes Yuto Nagatomo and Dejan Stankovic is doubtful. Leonardo should use two upfront with Eto and Milto leading the line so what is to expect, goals and win, nothing more nothing less.

Chievo played out the expected 0-0 draw against Sampdoria last weekend and if anyone read the Bettingexpert’s blog, then a draw was more than forthcoming, so question is whether match fixing is involved? The draw suited Chievo and once again a draw in Milano would be also preferred too. Coach Pioli has his calculator out from time to time to work out his escape route from the relegation battle, his judgement is that he needs just 4 or 5 points to secure their next season Serie A participation. All signs are good as Andrea Mantovani and Gelson Fernandes returns to the starting line up while Slovenian Bojan Jokic might get the bench, the only player to miss out is suspended Roberto Guana.

Scoring isn’t Inter’s issue, winning is something that is becoming a concern for the Nerazzurri and that is one point Chievo would want to inflict further misery to their host. Last season saw an high goal scoring thrilling game with a 4-3 win for Inter and that should give every punters to go from.

Bari vs. Catania

Fight is the word for Bari and their fighting spirit saw them win for the only second time in this season away from home. The 2-0  win against Parma saw the opposition Coach Pasquale Marino get sacked and their weekend Catania could get the same fate if they fail to get points at the Stadio San Nicola. The Galletti have still a lot of work to do ahead of the season finale, their time, like many predicted, has already been up but 21 points still up for grabs, they can save themselves but the chances are slim. Every game is a cup game for them but the pride and high spirits have certainly give the Bari players something to ponder on. Bari will be without Javier Catillo, Paulo Barreto, Stefano Okaka, Salvatore Masiello and Vitalii Kutuzov this Sunday.

Catania are not far away from the relegation zone and five points is all what it takes to see danger for the club next season status in the Serie A. A point or three will give the Catania players a little bit a breather as they make the final push to stay up. Their last weekend brilliant performance against Palmero saw them winning the Sicily derby with 4-0, their fourth consecutive home win but their away from is something a par below. Maybe saying they are below par is an understatement as they have managed to go throughout the season without an away win. They will be without Cristian Silvestre, Christian Llama, Giuseppe Bellusci and Alessandro Potenza all injured or suspended.

Strange things have happened before  but that is not usually in the Serie A but maybe Bari is an exception or Catania winning away for the first time. Either or,  it will be an exciting finish to the season and what more could show if Bari takes all three points once again.

Fiorentina vs. Milan

Two consecutive draws for Fiorentina keeps them from moving up to the top half of the Serie A and keep the home side mid-table firmly . The season hasn’t ended for Fiorentina yet as a the chances of getting into an European spot is still up for the grabs but it does mean that they will need to start winning rather drawing. They are unbeaten for six games so they came hold off their opposition, although they were close in losing it all in a few occasions, thanks to former Celtic keeper Boruc. The pressure will be on La Viola to get back to winning mode and with Adrian Mutu, Montolivo, Gilardino and Cesare Natali in the starting line up, the lethal attacking force can score from all angle.

When it comes to scoring, no one does it better than AC Milan and after coming off a 3-0 win over their deadly rivals, Inter, the countdown to the Scudetto starts here. The absents of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic showed no signs of slowing down with Milan striking force, if many thinks that the effect of the team not going forward with Zlatan Ibrahimovic then the opposite happened, Milan’s Pato and Robinho showed Brazilian magic and ran wild with the Inter defence and certainly Fiorentina will be the next to experience this hot duo in action. Although after disposing Inter, Napoli is the next threat as they are breathing down Milan with three points to them so  Coach Massimilano Allegri should be looking to pull the same eleven on Sunday evening, although key player like Van Bommel and Kevin-Prince Boateng should hold the midfield.

Milan had ample of chances to bridge the gap further from their rivals but time after time, they fail to go further but keeping the Serie A still open for others to take. That isn’t a bad thing for the neutral but certainly nail biting for the Milan fans who are hoping to come out from Inter’s shadows. Fiorentina are a formidable side and surely a draw is the likely outcome.
