The power and speed of the Red Bull car is in a league of its own when it comes to Vettel, even team mate Mark Webber has a tough time following him. The current F1 champion has got 5 pole position start out of five while winning four GPs.

A look at the schedule and the table, one must think that the F1 season has been going on for a while but on the contrary, it has only been the fifth race of the season yet Sebiastien Vettel is running the show. The pre-season testing site for the F1 cars will get another go in Barcelona this weekend and the power of the Red Bull is well documented. The others are failing to keep up with the drink that gives you wings. The race will be held from the 20th May to the 22nd May.
The race circuit is 4.655km with the race distance at 307.104km. All drivers’ will need to complete 66 lap to be crowned as champion of the circuit and Kimi Raikkonen’s lap record of 1:21.670 still stands since 2008 while Red Bull Mark Webber won this race in 2010.
Sheer Power
Without a shadow of a doubt, Sebiastien Vettel is showing more and more of his champion form than any other driver in the F1 circuit. Of course, with the sheer help of a Red Bull car that is tune up to its finest, many of the other teams are biting their teeth in envy as they watch Sebiastien Vettel getting his fifth pole in Turkey to win his fourth race out of five. The reigning champion is leading the championship table with 93 points, 34 more points than his nearest rival, Lewis Hamilton. Both the McLaren drivers couldn’t match the Red Bull in Turkey and fair enough, their strategy didn’t work as they fought on the top stint with Webber, Rosberg and Alonso along with Jensen Button or Hamilton who didn’t help either. Both the latter drivers will be hoping that they will get back on podium in Barcelona.
Mark Webber and Ferrari Fernando Alonso had an interesting day out in Turkey, more so to Ferrari as they might have finally got a car that could compete against the Red Bull. Although they are still 10 seconds behind Vettel, it is a giant step forward from the previous four races where Alonso was nowhere near the top boys. Strangely, tuning up the Ferrari car is getting somewhere but sadly the last time they were in Barcelona, things didn’t go well, so a hopeful mood for the two times former F1 champions on home soil.
While the others are improving, former champion Michael Schumacher might not be hitting the high notes but slowly, the Mercedes team are improving. He finished 12th in Turkey and there were signs of displeasure of his form and maybe it can also be taken as a hint of being unhappy, at least with the results. The veteran German will try out the effect of Kers, the DRS and the new Pirelli hard tyres on the Barcelona track, with a dash of fond memories of the past glories. His teammate Nico Rosberg is outperforming Michael Schumacher, another way of keeping your team mate unhappy.
Short and Sweet
Red Bulls all the way and there is no two ways about this one. Mark Webber took the pole and won from start to finish last year and with the form of Vettel, you just don’t bet against him, well at least with his car. It will be up to Ferrari and McLarens to fight for the rest of the placing at the top. The qualifying might be predictable but so does the race as strange things have happened before and against all odds, Vettel seems to have all the answers at the moment.
