PGA Grand Slam of Golf is exclusive for Major winners only. Too exclusive that it is not just any golf players but participant must be the current Major title holder of the year, unless one of them pulls out, then one of the past winners can play. With this year’s PGA Grand Slam, for the first time in its history, the PGA Grand Slam will have all four contestants are all first time Major champions. Charl Schwartzel, Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke and Keegan Bradley will be competing in 36-hole tournament for two days starting from 18-19 October 2011. The winner will take home $600k from the purse money of $1.350M. Ernie Els won this tournament last year against David Toms, Graeme McDowell and Martin Kaymer where both European were joint last. If McIlroy or Clarke wins in Bermuda, one of them will be the first European to win the PGA Slam of Golf for 20 years.

Masters Tournament 2011 Winner

Charl Schwartzel, the winner of the first Major tournament of 2011 won the Masters Tournament in April. After an unfaltering performance, where he consecutively had birdied in last four holes in the final round in Augusta, he carded 14-under par aggregate 274. Finishing 2 strokes against the Australians, Jason Day and Adam Scott, he put on the green jacket to became the third South African player to win the Masters. Since winning in Georgia, his best finish so far was a T5 and this was way back in May at the Volvo World Match Play Championship. With his five latest tournaments, three were outside top 20. Having said this, three weeks ago at the. Charl Schwartzel  is 2/1 to win the PGA Grand Slam Golf.

US Open 2011 Winner

Despite leading the first three rounds in Georgia, spiraled down his chance to win the Masters when he lost his confidence after collapsing on the back nine and then followed it up with a disaster 10th in the final day Congressional Country Club. But being dubbed as the wonder boy in the golf world, he went to Bethesda with a vengeance. Showing his remarkable resilience and determination to win a Major this year, he won the US Open in a historical fashion. His 16-under total of 268 that gave him an 8-shot victory Bethesda made him the youngest Masters champion since Tiger Woods won at the age of 25. Four out of his 5 previous games, he finished second place twice, at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and last weekend’s Kolon Korea Open, the Northern Irishman is the odds favourite by the bookmakers to win at 11/8.

The British Open Championship 2011 Winner

Having nearly given up his golfing profession, Darren Clarke went to the British Open Championship refreshed and re-group to give the tournament another shot. Turned professional in 1990, it took him 20 tries and a 20 years in total to finally cracked on how to win The Open. Beating four-time major champions Mickelson along the way, the Northern Irishman lifted the Claret Jug with his 5-under par aggregate 275. The 40-year-old has played 5 tournaments since his game in Sandwich and the outcome is not on his favour, three were missed cut while the two were outside top 30. Darren Clarke is 6/1 to win in Port Royal Golf Course.

PGA Championship 2011 Winner

Keegan Bradley had to go to a play-off against fellow American Jason Dufner when both players carded a final score of 8-under par total of 272.  They went on to a three-hole playoff in Augusta but at the end it was the 25-year-old Bradley who delivered an unforgettable finish at the last major tournament of the season, PGA Championship. Like Rory McIlroy, he too made a historcial record, he became the third player in history to win a major in his first try. However, after this, he has only played four tournaments. Resulting in a two miss cut and in his last two games, he finished outside top 10. Keegan Bradley is 7/2 to win the PGA Grand Slam of Golf.
