Mission can complete the treble

Mission Complete has won his last two starts readily and can complete the treble in Wetherby's feature Comedy Curry Night - Friday 17th February Handicap Hurdle at 2.45.
Jonjo 0'Neil's 6-y-o has been a real improver as his stamina has been drawn out in handicaps, and his Exeter success on New Year's Day was his third from his last four outings. The handicapper has put him up another 10 lb, but he is taken to shrug that off stepping up further in trip.
Code Blue relished the emphasis on stamina when winning in the mud at Haydock last month (3m). He remains unexposed, especially at staying trips, so the 6 lb rise should leave him competitive under a red hot Jason Maguire (four winners on Saturday).
Knockando impressed when storming clear to land a fair Ayr handicap in the mud last time, but may struggle with the assesor raising him a full 11 lbs in the weights in this better race.
Bottomweight 0niz Tiptoes scrambled home in a bunched finish at Sedgefield 17 days ago and will find it hard to hold an early position upped in class, while Dawn Ride appears much better over the larger obstacles (where he has a decent record at this venue.)
Perhaps Anreo Bambaleo will prove the main danger to our choice. He seemed vastly improved when winning a handicap hurdle at Hexham (2m4f) for Simon West last season and was back to that level when placed on his first completed start for this in-form yard. Any cash near the off will be a huge clue he is fit and fancied by these shrewd connections.
In summary, a warm handicap for the £3900 prize money with several unexposed improvers lining up against each other. Mission Complete promises to be suited by this further step up in trip and is worthy of a win investment at around 5-2 this morning.
