Star Links shaped very well when third here last time out and can land Wolverhampton's feature Download The Blue Square Iphone App Handicap at 3.50

The Irish raider is a five-time winner who has largely run with credit since regaining the winning thread at Naas (1m) in August. He was not beaten far when third over course and distance in November and that race has worked out very well so he seems sure to go close from an ideal berth in stall one.

The £6500 prize money has drawn a decent field and perhaps the reliable course specialist Standpoint will emerge as the main danger. He needed a drop to claiming company to gain a deserved success over C&D in November last year and quickly put a blip behind him when runner-up in similar contest last time. He is entitled to be bang there but has few secrets from the handicapper and might find a few too good.

Topweight Photo 0pportunity hasn't been seen out for 319 days, but hails from a dual purpose yard going well over the jumps, and is worth a precautionary glance at in the betting later on to guage the confidence behind him today.

Viva Ronaldo didn't get the run of the race when fourth over seven furlongs here last time out and shaped as though nearing his best form since winning at Chester as a 2-y-o. However, his stamina is not assured stepped up to a mile and he hasn't always impressed with his attitude in a finish.

Elijah Pepper has won four races here and is usually a model of reliability, but his latest run when dropped to a poor claimer was very flat and he is upped in grade here, while Thunderstruck seems best when dominating at Lingfield and is high enough in the weights.

In summary a great chance for Star Links to return to the winners enclosure. At around 5-2 this morning he is worth a win investment under the talented Shane Kelly.
