Peter Bowen's progressive chaser Natural Action is a confident choice to land this afternoons feature, the Frimstone Surface Dressing Novice Handicap Chase over three miles at 3.50.

The 7-y-o made a very impressive chasing debut at Southwell in July, always going strongly and fencing fluently at those stiff fences. Turned out relatively soon at Stratford next time, he was in a close rallying second when getting the last wrong and coming to grief. That appears decent form and, given 87 days off since to recover, he can resume winning ways this afternoon under Tom 0'Brien.

Morning favourite Spock is another to have made a smooth transition to the larger obstacles, winning twice and finishing a clear second in a warm contest at Newton Abbot last time. However he has always seemed a speedy type with a turn of foot, and must be rated a very doubtful stayer upped in trip to three miles here.

0stland hails from a yard that has made a blistering start to the season and carries topweight after three wins in the Summer already. That spree appeared over when never going a yard at Market Rasen last time out and he needs first time cheekpieces to revive him immediately to feature.

A bigger danger may be Firm 0rder who returns after 220 days off. This useful handicap hurdler relishes firm ground and, if finding his feet on chasing debut, he is sure to be thereabouts at the business end.

In summary at around 5-1 this morning Natural Action is well worth a win investment,with this firm ground speed course sure to suit and stamina asssured for the trip.
