Ajzal was a game winner from the front over this course and distance last time out and he can follow up in the Groby Novices' Handicap Chase.

The 8-y-o is a bold jumper who goes well for todays rider Felix De Giles and seems sure to get an uncontested lead in this small field. He was hard pressed when Surf N Turf blundered badly two out last time, but that level is enough to land this and he can utilise his experience against some less exposed rivals.

Call it 0n shaped well on chasing debut when third over 2m2f. He can improve but that was a muddling, steady run five runner contest, and his hit and miss fencing will be under more pressure here with a decent pace sure to be set by our choice.

Ex-Irish Kenaleck is a very interesting runner having joined the in-form Tim Vaughan yard, well established at improving other peoples cast offs, and any cash in the betting later on would be a big clue that he has been primed for this. He has shaped with promise in big fields on soft ground over hurdles in Ireland and wouldn't have to be a star to feature against these.

Share 0ption is another chase debutante and comes here fresh from a spirited victory at Bangor in a modest handicap hurdle. He is respected if finding fluency, while Blossom King has it prove after a series of disappointments from a yard struggling to find any form.

In summary, a handicap with a number of possilbities for the £5000 prize money, but a great chance for Ajzal to put his fluent fencing from the front to good use. At around 3-1 this morning he is worth a decent win bet to enhance his prolific record.
