Frontier Spirit to build on chasing debut success

Frontier Spirit made a smooth transition to chasing when winning at the first time attempt and can step up in class to land Fakenham's featured Handicap Chase.
Topweight Knight Legend won two modest handicaps at Market Rasen in the Summer and reappears after a 113 day absence off a career high rating, while class-dropper Pilgrims Lane was a heavy faller at Aintree nine days ago and will need to find early fluency at this sharp course to figure.
Perhaps the Irish raider Cottage Flyer will prove the main danger, especially if cash appears later on to suggest he is primed after eight months out of action. He shaped well when winning a beginners chase here in March last season and might have crept into this handicap lightly judged on that wide margin rout.
The Magic Bishop was onepaced when third at Carlisle last time out, but possibly found the terrain too soft that day and is repected on his decent ground Hexham win in 0ctober, while the long time absent Harouet hails from a new yard that has made a good start and is worth a cautionary inspection of the betting nearer the off.
In summary, an above average contest for a Monday, but a decent opportunity for Frontier Spirit to follow up on his impressive debut. With the promising Sam Twiston Davies in the saddle he can reward support at around 5-1 this morning.
