Veteran Magot de Grugy has joined the in-form Victor Dartnall stable and can defy a 593 day absence to land this afternoon's Fontwell feature at 2.50pm.

The 11-y-o has always revelled in testing conditions and heavy overnight rain in the Sussex area has turned conditions very testing. In summary, Magot de Grugy is worthy of a decent each-way bet at 5-1 this morning. He is well treated on form achieved in the distant past and may be revitalised by a change of scenery. The rain has come just in time and this fluent jumper can land the £4000 prize under Andrew Glassonbury.
