Nicky Henderson's useful handicap hurdler Larks Lad can land Fakenham's featured Princes Trust Novice Chase.

The 7-y-o is a big scopey type and has always seemed sure to improve when given a chance over the larger obstacles. He was a quality performer in some of the bigger races in the past few seasons, and can outclass some more exposed rivals this afternoon.

Main danger Bottman won a Towcester novice hurdle in January and was a good second at Cheltenham in April. He made a winning chase debut over 2m 5f here last month despite several mistakes, but will need to jump better to follow up here against higher calibre rivals.

Helpston was a very good third to Master of The Hall on his chase bow at Huntingdon in January, and was back to that form when winning at Wetherby last time, typically needing plenty of driving but knuckling down well for firmer pressure. He is a game sort but surely will struggle for speed at this sharp course on ground set to ride on the faster side of good.

0utsider No Rules has been out of form on the flat since last seen and has plenty to find on official ratings now tried chasing. He would be major result for the layers were he to suprise.

In summary a fascinating novice that has attracted three quality performers for the £9000 prize money, but our selection is well worth a win bet at around 6-4 this morning. He will be ridden for a turn of speed by Andrew Tinkler and can pounce late on against inferior rivals.
