A quiet Sunday after the excitement of yesterday, but Willie Musson's Magicalmysterytour
can land a fiercely competitive Toteswinger handicap at Bath.
The topweight has yet to win in seven attempts this season, but has shaped as though
in decent form the last twice, and drops down in grade this afternoon. This fast ground
should prove ideal and, at around 8-1 this morning, he represents decent each-way value.
Morning favourite Peachez had an excellent Summer campaign, winning twice and rising
steadily up the weights. He shaped well when returning after an absence at Windsor six
days ago and may improve for the run.
Jasmeno is a previous course winner who made a winning reappearance on the all-weather
last time out. If not "bouncing" on this second run, he must go close off a 6lb higher rating.
A bigger threat may come from Bowsers Brave. This progressive 5-y-o has suddenly hit
top form in recent months and followed up a comfortable Leicester win with a close
second when upped in class. However he steps upto 1m5f here and is far from certain to
stay the extra three furlongs on breeding or run-style.
All in all a wide open handicap for the £6000 prize money but our selection stands out class
wise, and can finally get on the scoresheet in 2012 under the useful Stevie Donahue.
