The same fate will come down on Red Bull once again and most notable is Vettel number 1 car once again. The winning scene will have to endure a race in Interlagos before Vettel can celebrate it in full with his team and maybe also with team mate Mark Webber. This has been a Red Bull year.
Formula 1 Grande Premio Petrobras Brasil Grand Prix
We go into the final race of the F1 season without much punch or excitement due to the Red Bull dominance in 2011. Sebastian Vettel took the driver championship and it is Red Bull once again with the Constructor world champions. Nevermind that, pride is at stake in Brazil, Interlagos is calling and the 3 day event will be held from the 25th of November to race day on the 27th.
The race circuit is 4.309km with the race distance at 305.909km. All drivers’ will need to complete 71 laps to be crowned as champion of the circuit and JP Montoya set the lap record of 1:11.473 in 2004. Red Bull Sebastian Vettel won the Interlagos circuit in the 2010 season.
It was a different race in Abu Dhabi after the very first lap, Sebastian Vettel didn’t managed to get past the first lap as he retired. This gave opportunity for Lewis Hamilton to take the top spot and silence his critics. The Brit turns his attention to Interlagos, a circuit with great memories where he won his first championship in 2008. McLarens team boss Martin Whitmarsh is looking forward to the new season and the hope with a better start to the season, in the meantime, Jensen Button will prepare himself to give yet another consistent performance.
The Red Bull won’t mind the rest if they do well, but of course, both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber have much to celebrate when the race ends in Brazil.
Corner News
Even though the current season hasn’t ended, it was time to see out 2011 and prepare for 2012. The first bad news is that the US Race in Texas is set to be axed. The construction was halted in Texas and a final decision will be made on the 7 December. Sad for some US F1 fans and if that isn’t bed enough, then the exciting usage of DRS overtaking aid is to be rethought, not by Ecclestone but by the drivers.
Final Verdict:
The Final race might not mean much to the leader board but there are two teams that will go toe to toe to hit the checker flag. Currently defending and the new champion of F1, Sebastian Vettel was a bit down with his performance and that should spur on his determination to win the Interlagos. The man that can spoil the fun for Vettel is Lewis Hamilton, with renewed energy and concentration on the track has shown that he has what it takes to challenge the Red Bull, although this is a bit too little too late. Vettel to conquer Brazil.
