Vettel win

Sebastian Vettel won this race back in 2010 and winning this again would just be icing on the cake for him. All to fight for in Abu Dhabi and every driver is to fight for the podium spot once again. Two races left to go and it's all being Red Bull and the winning doesn't stop.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2011

In 2010 this was last race of the season and Vettel took the honors and the bar is similar in 2011, both consecutive seasons saw Vettel winning the championship before getting on the Yas Marina Circuit. Vettel took the first inaugural India GP, which makes it 11 circuit titles this season, record once again. His teammate, Mark Webber didn’t make podium, just one off, in India so still struggling to keep pace with the champion himself.

If Fernando Alonso is known for being the consistent driver on the circuit, apart from winning, then that title has certainly past onto Jensen Button. The Brit has done well, six podiums out of the last seven races, missing out on only in Korea. His consistent run has frustrated teammate Lewis Hamilton, who is once again in a tussle with Ferrari Felipe Massa for the sixth time this season. A collusion between the two have further increase the tension and with two races left, this will be fun to see how it will end. Out of the picture, Alonso might have done what he told his principal director on the radio in Korea, he’s done for this season.

Outlook

The driver pool reactions to Vettel’s second straight champions have been overwhelming unanimously that the young German has superseded all expectations with his performance this season. There has push further from different teams on the grid to improve on. Rules will change for next season and that remains to be seen, but one that all teams are trying to figure out is the use of tyres. Besides the technical issues that are improving, in 2012 there will be a name changes to certain teams. Both Team Lotus and Renault have resolved their naming row and next year, Team Lotus will be called Caterhams while Renault is to come up with a new name, but surely they will not be using Lotus Renault GP.

Verdict

The spectacular setting and the unique twilight race in Yas Marina will spur on Vettel to win his 12th race this season. Once again, his car is the strongest of them all and there shouldn’t be an obstacle beside his car failing, which hasn’t happened yet. Expect Jensen Button to get podium, chances are that he will also finish second to Vettel on the league boards and where is Hamilton, Alonso and Webber fit in, a podium finish is what they are fighting for. Vettel to win yet again.
