Vettel MalaysiaWho can stop Sebastian Vettel, the young german has the fastest car on the f1 circuit and that was so evidently proven in Australia. He won Malaysia back in 2010 and he could be on the podium once again in 2011 so watch him fly once again.

Malaysian Grand Prix

The signs are all there as the aftermath of the Australian Grand Prix spelt out that this F1 season will one of those tight knit championship in both Constructor and Drivers category. Malaysia will be hosting the second race of the season and with an overtaking-friendly circuit, many drivers will be eyeing for a fight in Kuala Lumpar.

The race circuit is 5.543km with the race distance at 310.408km. All drivers’ will need to complete 56 lap to be crowned as champion of the circuit and JP Montoya lap record of 1:34.223 still stands since 2004. Reigning champion Sebastian Vettel returns to Malaysia with full confidence to win this circuit for the second consecutive time.

Reigning Champion

Australia was just the start for Sebastian Vettel, starting on pole position and winning it from start to finish also with a gap to McLarens Lewis Hamilton. The Red Bull car is certainly dominating once again in the F1 circuit in both speed and pace. Taking considerations that Red Bull did not run with KERS energy recovery and power-boost system, Vettel can go definitely go one better. The promise of these being in place for the Malaysia is promising and that will help Vettel to keep the first place while team mate Mark Webber can improve on his fifth place.

There were concerns over the McLarens could match the Red Bulls, well short and sweet, down under expose the power of Lewis Hamilton’s car as he finished second. The former world champion is confident that he can catch Red Bull and close the gap between the two cars. The cars still need some work but with two former world champions sitting the McLaren hot seat, they can outwit their opponents.

Ferrari was nowhere to be seen, when it came to the podium, they failed to make an impact in the first stint of the race and slowly fazed out after finding it hard to overtake other cars. It is apparent that Massa had issues with the car as he finished 7th in Australia while Fernando Alonso does a solid job to get fourth.

Unlikely fight

As experienced drivers like Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg, Timo Glock, Nick Heidfeld, Hekki Kovalainen and Rubens Barrichello all bombed out in Australia, there is a new breed of driver confirming the era of F1 drivers could change in 2011.Both Toro Rosso Sebastien Buemi and Jamie Alguersuari showed strengthen after finishing 8th and 11 respectively while Force India Adrian Sutil managed 9th. Two most surprising result saw new boy British Paul Di Resta in the Force India to get a 10th spot and definitely showing lots of promise in the future. He was definitely overshadow by the impressive drive from Vitaly Petrov in the Renault, finish on podium. Russia’s first F1 driver showed that he has learnt well teaming up with Kubica last season so it’s not all about money he brings to the team, but also the result.

Ready to Roll Again

If anyone is in doubt then let me tell you straight up, Red Bull Sebastian Vettel is favourite to get pole once again and of course to win Malaysia. The closest rival to him will be the forever risk taking Lewis Hamilton, it all really depends on the McLaren car which can outperform the Red Bull. The others will certainly in the mix but just not good enough to outpace the Vettel, at the moment the young German has the best car out there and there is a big leap in performance between Red Bull and the rest, it does make you wonder what Mark Webber is doing.

A Sebastian Vettel win at the Malaysia Grand Prix will get you odds at 2.00 with Betsson.
