American Idollete top 4

With only the Top 4 American Idol contestant left, the idolettes once again gave all their best to be in the Final show.  Unleashing their talents, the last four contenders standing Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips, Hollie Cavanagh and Joshua Ladet rendered two songs each from songs by Californian and Songs they Wish They Had Written. As the competition’s finale drawing near and already at its boiling point, each of the remaining powerhouses gave their heart-pumping and mind blowing performances to wow the three judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, and most especially the public viewers who will be voting for to give them their one way ticket to the final show.

The American Idol Boys

Phillip Phillips hits the floor with the song Have You Ever Seen The Rain” by Credence Clearwater Revival. Although the 21-year-old started a bit rough on hs piece but he eventually got better on the first chorus. His gruff vocal signature adapts with the song and the judges exclaimed that Phillips surprisingly displayed a new kind of Joe Coecker quality that they hadn’t heard him use before. The Judges liked his performance though they think it was not a spectacular one compared to his rendition of “U Got It Bad” which really rocked the audience. Choosing to sing “Volcano” by Damien Rice on his second round on the stage, mentor Jimmy Lovine mentioned that the Georgian Idolette was coming into his own with this rendition which the judges dubbed the zesty performance as a real testament to Phillip’s authenticity as an artist and found it as one of his best performance ever.

Wrapping it up with the solid half, Joshua Ledet chose to sing “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban. Bringing justice and drama to the song, Joshua delivers a staggering and soul touching performance, impressing the Judges and audience alike. They exclaimed that Joshua has a can look forward to a great career after his time on the 2012 American Idol Show. Wanting to dedicate the song that he wished he had written to his mother as an appreciation for the coming Mother’s Day, the 19-year-old from LA sang “It’s a Man’s , Man’s, Man’s World” by James Brown, he gloriously took it up to a higher level as he rocked and killed the piece. This left the judges dazzled with his performance and rendered it as the best performances of all the televised singing shows around.

The America Idol Girls

Given that this bookmakers’ faourite to win the American Idol is only 16-year-old kid, Jessica Sanchez the young and sweet Filipina-Mexican from San Diego has once again prove their prediction that she could win in the final show. Singing her take on Etta James “Steal Away”, BB Chez has not only wowed the judges but also the AI host Ryan Seacrest. Giving her a standing ovation, the Judges raved that she is one of the most spectacular singers they have seen in a long time. Closing the evening, Jessica again stormed the stage with her astonishing performance of the dream girl’s soundtrack “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”. Not knowing where she got the experience and vocal chops to put it all together, the three judges were once again so impressed that they gave Jessica Sanchez her double take of standing O.

On the other hand, the cute 18 year old from Mckinney Texan, Hollie Cavanagh who was endangered of being eliminated at last week’s elimination round had once again received a mix comments from the three panel of judges. Having rocked the floor as she kicks-off with passion in her first song as she showed off her vocal range on her version of Journey’s “Faithfully”, JLo and the rest of her gang complimented her for busting up in the right moment in the competition and said that her talent was blooming. Jennifer Lopez teared-up for seeing Hollie’s progression through the season of the American Idol Show 2012. But then in her second performance, the Liverpool fan take on Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” felt a bit short for the judges. Having done a good job in the beginning, the 18-year-old fell flat. Seemingly, it showed that she does not have the life experience to back her emotions as she sell the song on the stage.

This crucial evening reveals the best of their talents. Having sang a very impressive rendition of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”, Jessica Sanchez is definitely not going anywhere so thus, Phillip Phillips. Having been a resident of the bottom three, Hollie Cavanagh is running out of luck, unless the American Idol voters did not notice how good Joshua Ledet was last night.
