Celebrity Big Brother is back on our screen just after two months. Following up to the success of its debut on Chanel Five, where the 2011 series was won unexpectedly My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy Doherty. Receiving the most public votes, he beat the early favourite Kerry Katona in the final.
A platform for celebs to revive their or to make a career out of this reality TV show, the CBB contestants this year will surely by no means capitalize on it one way or another during their month long period stay in one of the famous house in Britain, the Big Brother House. To start the year off, Celebrity Big Brother have chosen some contestants that lack nothing in the area of controversial. Meet the Big Brother Celebs:
Andrew Stone
Andrew Stone has made a name by starring in the hit TV show ‘Pineapple
Dance’ alongside Louis Spence. An
entertainer, he is a dancer slash singer slash songwriter. A very talented lad,
he has performed with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Christina Aguilera, Tina
Turner, Ricky Martin, Britney Spears and others, he believes that he is born to
be in the show business. Self-proclaimed metrosexual, Andrew thinks he is
bigger than Coronation Street and with the CV he has, he also thinks he is not
a wannabe. He is in to win it but if he wannabe the winner of the show and wins
the public on his corner, he should not only entertain them but show some
humility as there is nothing that we want more than voting for the underdog.
Denise Welch
Loosing herself on Dancing on Ice last year and had a
controversial row with one of the judges of the show, Jason Gardiner, Denise
Welch has entered the Big Brother House without her skating shoes. She is one of
the presenter in a daytime TV show Loose Women, she was best known as the Rover’s
landlady Natalie Horrocks in Coronation Street. Being a regular panelist on
Loose Women, she has a very strong opinion on everything. Too much of this
might not only irritate her housemate but also the public. If she plays it
right, she can last a long way but winning is the Celebrity BB show might near
yet far.
Frankie Cocozza
Frankie Cocozza had a short period of fame during his time
as in the X Factor. He was the controversial contestant on the show. Although he
lacks a singing talent, he is not short when it comes to mischief during the
show. His antics of showing his backside during the audition has made as one of
the finalist. However, his mischief had run its luck and he was booted out of
the show when he bragged about cocaine drug use. He might not have the voice for a singing
talent show but CBB will be a show that will cater for his mischief. He was in
the bottom two but was always saved by the judges. This time around, there is
no one to save Frankie Cocozza except if the public warms up with the public
and entertain them with his misbehavior.
Georgia Salpa
Georgia Salpa is dubbed to be the Irish Kim
Kardashian look-a-like. She might be well known in Ireland but she only came to
light in the UK tabloid this summer when she went out with Calum Best. Will she
win? Not likely.
Kirk Nocross
Kirk Nocross is a pro when it comes to reality TV show. He is best known for his role in The Only Way
is Essex. Going the Big Brother 2012 casts, he is following the footsteps of
his co-star Amy Childs whom he had relationship with. Being part of the cult ‘scripted
reality’ show and a nightclub promoter, he knows how to work-up the public
already. Surrounded by beautiful ladies in the house, he has a bigger chance to
win this year.
Kristina and Karissa Shannon
After the Jedward Twins, here comes Kristina and Karissa
Shannon on Celebrity Big Brother. Unlike the Irish brothers, these sisters are
annoyingly sexy and candy to the eyes. Twin by birth, they became known when
they entered the Playboy house mansion to became two out of the three girlfriends
of Hugh Hefner. No longer the girlfriends, playboy twins Kristina and Karissa will
certainly win the male side of the public vote.
Michael Madsen
A Hollywood actor, Michael Madsen was convinced by his
friend, a former Celebrity Big Brother constant, Vinnie Jones to enter the
house. He had a string of successful blockbuster movies under his belt but best
known for his sadistic ex-con role in Taratino’s Reservoir Dogs. The question
is not whether he wins or not but rather whether he will stay long enough inside
the house till the end if he will last up to the final. Will he bail himself
out? Let us wait and see.
Natalie Cassidy
An actress, Natalie Cassidy is a best known as Sonia Jackson
during her stint in Eastenders. Since leaving the show, she continued her
career on stage but has never been successful as much as she wanted it to be.
Having been the first one to enter the CBB house, she was given straight away
to perform a secret task. Successfully carrying out all Big Brother’s, all her fellow
contestant got their suitcase and most
of all, this has made her a forerunner to win the show. Love by the public as
Sonia Jackson, Natalie has become the early favourite by the bookmakers to win
the Celebrity Big Brother 2012. But then, so did Kerry Katona last year.
Natasha Giggs
Natasha Giggs has become known to the public not because of
her talent but because of her infamous association with the Giggs brothers. Married to Rhodri Giggs, she is dubbed to be a
love-cheat after having an affair with his husband’s older brother and first
class footballer Ryan Giggs. After all the media circus of the famous super
gagging order last year, I think she will only last on the show because of the
public, not to mention the media, wanting and waiting for her to spill the
beans on his famous brother-in-law. But of course, that is, if there is no
super injunction against her.
Nicola McLean
One of the best page 3 girl, this glamour model is married
to Kettering footballer. Appearing in the 2008 I’m Celebrity Get Me Out of
here, Celebrity Big Brother is Nicola Mclean’s second time in a reality show.
She was booted out of by the public during her stint in Australia. The public
will make her stay longer as long as Natasha is inside the house as these two
recently had a public feud. Nicola despises her for being a love-cheat that despite their public display of
affection last night, the voters would like to see a fireworks between them.
Romeo Dunn
One of the pioneers who brought Urban songs in UK, Romeo
Dunn was part of the group So Solid Crew. He became a solo artist and had some
few strings of top ten hit songs. Aside from that, his solo career has not
taken off. Romeo is has a far shot to win the Big Brother, Celebrity series.
Gareth Thomas
A former professional rugby player, Gareth Thomas is a close
friend of Ryan Giggs. Since retiring, he uses his influence to help others with
his charity work that was voted top of the Pink List 2010 of the 101 most
influential gay people in the UK.
