Hamilton Park Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue in Hamilton, Scotland to the south of Glasgow. It is a flat racing venue, with a season which runs from May to October.
Racing has been staged in Hamilton since 1782 and it is now part of Scotland’s great sporting heritage. More than two centuries worth of punters have visited the course wanting to place a bet or simply just enjoy a grand day out at the races.
Several landmark events in racing have occurred on Hamilton Park’s grounds. On 18 July 1947 it became the first course in Britain to stage an evening fixture while on 8 May 1971 the racecourse became the first to hold a morning meeting. These innovations would become commonplace for racecourses around the country.
The present racecourse opened in 1926 and since 1973 it has been owned by the Hamilton Park Trust which ploughs back all profits into developing the course.
Hamilton Park is noted for its reputation of mixing good quality racing with glamour and entertainment. Top jockeys like Frankie Dettori appearing at the racecourse and live music performances from the likes of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jason Donovan, Pixie Lott, Alesha Dixon and Dannii Minogue have helped establish Hamilton Park as Scotland’s most high profile racecourse.

Hamilton 5th race (Handicap) (CLASS 5) 1.200m GOOD-SOFT.
Returning to 6f will be a plus for TADALAVIL, who is already Course & Distance winner in a good time (1'.12".92s). Despite his higher weights now, he deserves an EW bet, having suitable conditions.
Hamilton 2nd race Claiming Stakes (CLASS 6) 1.000m GOOD-SOFT.
Although ARTSU has won on a fast ground, today's softish will be very welcoming. Coming again here in a track were he likes (313), and with very good Handicap, he is the ValueBet in this tricky poor affair.
Hamilton 2nd race, Stakes (Class 2) 1.200m GOOD.
This is indeed a"big gift" for MAJOR CADEAUX who drops heavily Class in this event, holding though good value in his price, probably because his absence (127 days), the short trip, and the changement of his owner/trainer.
HAMILTON 8th race, Hdcp, (Class 6), 1.000m, GOOD-SOFT.
It's a bit hard to go against Haajes here, after winning with something in the hand, but now he is far out of any value, and he carries a weight penalty which might make his life difficult. The tongue-tie, that usually wears is le...
