Ässät versus Lukko is one of the hottest derby matches in Finland. It is friday night and the arena is full of cheering fans. It is going to be a great match for both teams.

Last season was almost phenomenal for Ässät. They were left out without a medal but no one expected them to reach second spot in the regular season. After the season the head coach Pekka Rautakallio went to KHL team Dinamo riga. Now former assistant coach Karri Kivi is leading the club and continuing the remarkable job of Rautakallio. I think Ässät will be ready for the season from the beginning.

However Lukko is still in the construction phase. After the last season they lost their three best forwards. During the summer they signed good replacements but I think they will have some problems in the first games of the season.

Ässät has many great forwards and I think that Lukko can't handle the great offensive power of Ässät. Home win.
