ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIP BIRMINGHAM TO BEAT SOUTHAMPTON "DRAW NO BET" @ 1.55
Final result: 0 - 0Profit: 10.00 - 10 = 0
The late kick off on Saturday, between 2nd placed Southampton and Birmingham in 4th. Southampton have been the early trail blazers in this division however have hit a run of bad form. I'm not sure whether the bad form is due to end, I don't think so yet, not with the visit to red hot Birmingham.
Birmingham are the form team in the division. 5wins in 6 including a
6-0 and 4-1 wins away at Millwall and Leeds respectively. Birmingham's away form isn't even their strongest asset. At home they have 9wins, 4 draws and remain unbeaten since their relegation from premiership last season. Chris Hughton took Newcastle up in his 1st season and is a vastly underrated manager, despite financial problems and off field uncertainties he is fashioning another all conquering championship side. I wouldn't rul Birmingham out for the title. Plus now they are out of Europa League they can focus fully on promotion.
Southampton have 1 win in 5 and have lost away at Bristol City, Doncaster and Brighton recently. Whilst Southampton showed some improvement at home against Cardiff drawing 1-1 (and the return of Ricky Lambert and new signing Billy Sharp), I can't see them having enough to withstand Birmingham on such form.
The man to watch here is Nicola Zigic, with four in the game against Leeds. Lucky for Birmingham that nobody wanted to pay his such high wages so he wasn't sold in the transfer window!
I would go for the outright @ 2.23 however, as usual, would like to hedge my bet with a returned stake in the event of a draw.
Maximum stake.
