WERDUM TO WIN

This is a fight in the heavyweight division of the UFC between brazilian Fabricio Werdum and american Roy Nelson. Those who follow MMA surely knows these two fighters and their history. Fabricio "Vai Cavalo" Werdum is returning to UFC after a three-year absence and a couple of high-profile bouts and after four fights in the Strikeforce promotion where he won three of his four fights. His biggest win during his fights in strikeforce was against the legend fedor emelianenko, which was maybe the biggest upset in the MMA history in last decade. Before that fight he won against his compatriot Antonio Silva and then fought for the title of heavyweight champion against Alistair Overeem where he lost in decision. So with a very good stint in Strikeforce he returns to the best promotion UFC for this fight.

On the other hand Roy "Big Country" Nelson has had a very interesting story and he became well known in the UFC's show The Ultimate Fighter where he won that tournament after defeating Brendan Schaub in the finale. Those who have seen Roy Nelson's fights knows that he has a lot of heart but his body construction is not of UFC level as he has very fat and he could rely only on luck against UFC fighters who are the best in the world. The only thing he can do best is taking punishment because in the fights against Junior Dos Santos and Frank Mir he was heavy beaten but he managed to get to the decision. His only wins came against unexperienced Brandon Schaub, old Mirko Filipovich and a lucky punch against Stefan Struve. Nelson's only chance is to throw a big punch early in the fight because if the match goes to 2nd and 3rd round he will be very tired and Werdum can easily win the fight. So my full confidence goes to Fabricio Werdum
