ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE-WIGAN V EVERTON-EVERTON TO WIN "DRAW NO BET" @ 1.57

Final result: 1 - 1
Profit: 8.00 - 8 = 0

The Premier League's bottom side face Everton who sit mid table. Wigan are on a terrible run of form which sometimes belies the fact that the play good, attacking football. However their lack of cutting edge up front means that they have only scored 20 goals in 23 games. They have also lost 4 consecutive league games. Wigan had a mini revival of 1 defeat in 5 with two wins, two draws. To be fair the fixture list hasn't been kind with games against Spurs, Man Utd and Man City. However they lost badly at home to in form Sunderland and away at QPR.

Those losses suggest to me that they will struggle against Everton who recorded an excellent 1-0 home win against leaders Man City, last time out. Everton's form has been very inconsistent this season as they usually outperform expectations and in Moyes have arguably (pound for pound) the most effective manager in the league.

What gives me cause for optimism here is the transfer activity during the transfer window. Wigan have been largely quiet however Everton have strengthened the team and given a confidence boost to the whole squad which was evident in the Man City game. Jelavic has been bought from Rangers, Pienaar loaned back from Spurs and Gibson from Man Utd on a permanent deal. They even managed to unload Saha to Spurs, great business!

Being cagey, I won't be going for the outright win at 2.20 however the odds on a draw no bet still appear attractive to me all considered at 1.57 and worth a medium to high stake as Wigan have not recorded a home win since August.

Nice tip! 1
