Southampton have had a poor run recently but I believe it has mainly been because their main playmaker Adam Lallana has been out injured and without him Southampton are a shadow of themselves even with the goal scorers they have as they have not been getting good crosses that Lallana would normally be delivering. He returned in the last match against cardiff (1-1) and Southampton played so much better than they had when he was out injured. they controlled the ball and had a lot of chances to win the match and were almost back to the way they were playing at the start of the season when they were playing the best football in the league by a long way.

At home Birmingham are currently undefeated having played 13 matches they have won 9 and drawn 4 so are playing very well. Their best attribute is their defence as they have only conceded 6 goals but I think that Southampton will be able to break them down and as long as they can control the Birmingham strikers then they have a chance of winning this match but I am going for a bit of safety with the draw no bet market as Birmingham are very strong.
