Arsenal
Arsenal won only one from their last 5 league games. They are currently 9th in league. The problem, I am sure, is not a attack, niether the defense. Problem can be found in their weak midfielders. After Fabregas and Nasri left Arsenal, they do not have a player who will give balls 'that have eyes', and who will organize the team. Van Persie is keeping them alive for now, with 19 goals, but we are all wondering, how long can he keep this way without help.
Aaron Ramsey is maybe the weakest part of the Arsenal midfield. Less than 50% of his passes from last 5 games finished where he wanted to. Because of that he was replaced in 3 from last 5 games, but obviously too late.
Theo Walcott, although his position should be in the attack, is playing more like left midfielder, but not good enough. His crosses are not quick enough, and when he do it succsessfully he doesn't know what to do with the ball.
Jack Wilshere is injured.
Gervino is away for Africa cup.
Andrey Arshavin, who to be honest doesn't worth playing in team like Arsenal. He plays without spirit, without idea, not like Arshavin that we have watched on Euro 2010.
Only player who is doing, let say it 'well', is Arteta. But player who has arrived last summer can not be main figure in Arsenal's tactics. Specially after he said something like this: "Everything I've got I gave to Everton. There I have reached my maximum and now I can not play like that".
Oxlade Chambarlane is definitly the future of this team and tomorow he will play in starting lineup.
Arsenal also has problem with goalies, like every year, for who knows how many years. Because of that they have recieved 33 goals in 23 games. Does anyone remember when that happened before?
Tomorow lineup should be:
Szczesny,Koscielny,Vermaleen, Mertesacke, Sagna, Walcott, Arteta, Ramsey, Chamberlain, Van Persie.
Last game:
Even though last game against Bolton finished 0-0 Arsenal is team that should have won. Van Persie hit crossbar two times, Walcott missed 100% chance. Most important thing, Arsenal looked like a team. They have had good passes, and they should have scored unleast 2 goals. But luck was not on their side. I expect them to continue good game tomorow.
Blackburn
Blackburn won 2 from their last 5 games. They are currently 18th team of the league. They are also very week when playing away, with only one win, 6 draws, and 4 loses. They have lost their last game against Newcastle, even though they had ball in their posession 54% of the game. They had 4 shoots on goal, but all 4 were weak, and Newcastle had only two, and both finished in net. This brings us to the weak part of Blackburn. Unlike Arsenal's midfield, Blackburn has problems with defense. Only Wigan has recieved more goals then they did, 48. Blackburn recieved 47. Also they have problems with discipline, so they are second 'dirtiest' team with 272 fouls, 50 yellow, 3 red cards, and 2 penalties.
Dunn has some problems with self-esteem after scoring auto-goal, in match against Newcastle.
Givet and Love are maybe the problem why this team makes this much fouls, and recieves this much cards, together with Pedersen and Nzonzi, with 6 and 3 yellow cards.
However, weakest part of the defense are wings, Olsson and Love. They do not return to defense as quick as they should, and that leaves lot of space for quick midfielders.
Summary:
Arsenal will win tomorow, but since odds are 1.4 I will go with home handicap -1.5. As I said in upper paragraph, Blackburn wings are not too good and responsibile and that will leave lot of space for Walcott and Chamberlain expecialy. Both of them are very quick. Also I expect few fouls near goal, that would be chance for Van Persie to try his left foot. Only player that can make problems to Arsenal is Jakubu who scored 12 goals so far, but I expect that Arsenal CBs will hendle it well. As long as Arsenal skip center of the field, and sometimes run on sides, they wont have problems.
Good luck!
