6 POINTS SHREWSBURY BT TORQUAY (DRAW NO BET) (UK FOOTBALL LEGUE 2) @2.16 UNIBET

This game pits 6th placed Torquay against 5th placed Shrewsbury and is a massive game for both sides as they try to push for promotion this year and this could be very tight controlled game with very few scoring opportunities and despite Torquays excellent home run recently I think that Shrewsbury will have the edge and am going for them to win this match in the draw no bet market so we cover the draw as well.

At home Torquay's season has been a tale of two halves in the first 7 home matches they won 1, drew 4 and lost 2 scoring 14 goals and conceding 16 goals but if you look at their last 8 matches they have won 7 and drawn one scoring 13 and conceding just 1 goal. This shows a massive improvement in defence which is the main reason why their home win count has incresaed considerably - if your not conceding any goals you arent going to be losing many. The only 2 concerns I have with these records are

1) Of these 8 matches 5 have been against teams in the bottom 7 and you would expect Torquay to win these matches if they have any hope of promotion and Shrewsbury will be considerably better than these other teams and

2) In their last 5 games they have won 4 but all have been just 1-0 victories and this coincided with their joint top striker Rene Howe being suspended following his 2nd red card of the season but scoring goals is a confidence thing and if you start not scoring many goals asa team the confidence can start to disapear.

Torquays results against the 4 clubs in the top 7 they have played are lost to Crawley 3-1, drew with Cheltenham 2-2, Lost to Gillingham 5-2 and won at Swindon 1-0 so its a mixed bag.

Shrewsbury are an excellent team when they are playing at home and are still undefeated but away from home they havent played as well and will need to improve this if they want to maintain their promotion push. Currently their away form reads played 14 won 5, drawn 3 and lost 6 but they can score and are very tight defensively so if they play at the top of their game they can score goals here and if Torquays confidence starts to go then they could nick the victory. With this in mind and the fat that Torquay have not been scoring well in their last few games and most of their recent victories have been against the lower ranked teams I think this will be a low scoring game and Shrewsbury coudl win so I am going to cover the draw with a bet on Shrewsbury in the DRaw No Bet market for medium stakes.
