CHELSEA PRICE TOO ATTRACTIVE TO TURN DOWN
Final result: 2 - 0Profit: 0.00 - 8 = -8
Chelsea currently in 4th position travel to Everton who currently lay in 11th position and in my opinion these current positions could well be where both teams finish the 2011/2012 season as I can't see Chelsea catching Tottenham or Everton winning enough games to move up the table either
Everton are a club without real focus in recent times - they're much too strong to be threatened with any relegation danger but simply not strong enough to make any inroads into the higher reaches of the Premier League and the home support is getting restless with occassional morale boosting wins over the big clubs no longer sufficient to satisfy their ambitions
Chelsea are a club with real issues as they resist the changes new manager AVB is implementing and the spine of their title winning teams ( as I've said many times this season) needs replaced. However, they've only lost 2 of their 12 away games all season whilst Everton have just 4 home wins from 12 attempts so they could well secure all 3 points at Goodison this weekend
Goals have been in short supply for Everton this season with a return of just 12 form their 12 home games whilst Chelsea have recorded 17 from their 12 away games so the edge is with Chelsea in this department despite their obvious limitations
I don't envisage a classic here but I do feel Chelsea can edge it to record their first win here since 2008 in the league. The last 4 here have ended in 2 Everton wins and 2 draws with only 1 of those games finishing with 3 goals so a low scoring encounter is anticipated again with both teams phsically capable of competing hard and cancelling the other teams out
I'm going to back Chelsea though as the price is attractive and they have more goal scoring potential. Jelavic the new Everton signing from Rangers will do well to finish with more Premier League goals this season than Tim Howard ( who has 1 offcourse!) as he isn't proven at this level and in my opinion won't improve the Blue side of Merseyside's goal scoring fortunes
Chelsea to win is my choice here.... Good Luck
