Bolton and Wigan battle out in a Relegation "6 pointer" as the pundits say. Both teams are struggling this season, Bolton are 18th and Wigan sit bottom.

For both teams the average goals to games ratio is well above the 2.5goal line and so this looks like a decent bet as well. Bolton average 3.21 goals per game and Wigan slightly less at 2.92.

Also interesting statistic, Wigan have scored in 6 of their last 7 away games in the Premier League, the only blank being in the 0-5 away defeat at Man Utd. Wigan have a low goals scored to games ratio however this is brought down by their form at home rather than away.

Bolton's recent form has improved however Wigan should not be underestimated. Their attractive approach play is often let down by poor finishing however they have recorded away wins at Sunderland 9pre-Martin O'Neill) and WBA. They also drew 2-2 away at Stoke.

For me, the odds on a home win are too low as I don't think Bolton are reliable enough to be backed at evens to win any game. The both teams to score looks the more likely bet as well as over 2.5gls.
