WATFORD TO WIN -0 ASIAN HANDICAP
Final result: 1 - 1Profit: 6.00 - 6 = 0
Forest boss Steve Cotterill has the difficult job of arresting a dreadful run of form with no money to spend. Loan signings Elokobi, Higginbotham, Guedioura bring some experience, and Wooton (Man Utd) and Cunningham (Man City) bring potential. There is always a worry that bringing in new recruits to a failing side reinforces failure.
Forest have lost ten of 15 home fixtures (67%), and every one of their last six without scoring a goal. Added to that misery, they suffered the tragedy of losing owner Nigel Doughty last week.
The club will recover, of course. However, Watford arrive with three wins and two draws from their last eight league fixtures. They have played eleven fixtures against teams below themselves in the table, and have a won-6, drawn-3, lost-2 record.
Odds of 6/4 imply a 40% chance of the win, but the Watford stats for lower Championship clubs suggest -0 AH should be a 67% chance. Added to that, the Forest home record to all teams suggests the away -0 AH should be as much as a 77% chance.
It is a fair bet that follows form, statistics and value criteria.
