SORRY SCOTLAND TO LOOSE AGAIN
Final result: 17 - 23Profit: 10.00 - 10 = 0
Scotland have competed hard in their opening 2 games of the Six Nations but the lack of a cutting edge has seen them loose to both England & Wales. They currently sit 2nd bottom of the table with only points difference seperating them from Italy and the visit of France is the last thing the Tartan Army need
France have only played once which was a comfortable win over a spirited Italian side in their opening fixture and folowing the chaotic late postponment of the Ireland game Les Bleus will be keen to get back to work here and get their 2nd victory on the board and I see no reason why they won't deliver just that in Edinburgh against Scotland
The tournamant seems destined to go to the wire between Wales & France for the title of top team in the Northern Hemisphere and the wooden spoon also likes going to the wire between Scotland & Italy, but for now we'll focus on this particular fixture
I must admit I'm surprised the handicaps have been set at this level by most bookmakers as for me I expect France to win this game with a much higher margin and to get them -6 provides a real degree of comfort which has prompted me to go with full stakes
I actually believe this game with be all but over by half time and could spell the end for coach Andy Robinson who refuses to authorise his team to play with any sense of adventure and the Scottish public are becomming increasingly frustrated with narrow defeats and want their team to be more attacking but that could actually spell disaster for them in this particular game as France are not a team you want to open up against
I fail to see how Scotland can seriously hurth their French counterparts who will more than hold their own on set plays (Scotland's only real asset) and their attacking ability is simply on a different planet in comparison to their hosts, so I can only see one outcome here which is a comfortable French victory
Offcourse the cliche's will be rolled out about France not travelling well & on their day Scotland can cause an upset but when you assess the strengths and weaknesses of each side there can only be one outcome. A flaw in previous French sides has been indiscipline but under their new coach there's an air of professionalism within their ranks now and they genuinely appear a united team for a change. This isn't good for Scotland who will need a French performance of complacency, errors and bad luck to stand any genuine chance of winning
Scotland's recent record against France is awful with just 1 win since the turn of the millenium and with 11 defeats from their last 12 encounters I see little hope for this courageous but limited Scottish side. It's also worth noting that each of these 11 victories by France have come with a winning margin of at least 7 points and the majority of them have been well over that margin with some real big wins recorded by France over their opponents
If France even play to 80% of their capabilities then they'll win this game and cover the margin of -6 and I expect this bet to be in the comfortable position of being safe by half time
France (-6 AH) to beat Scotland is my choice here... Good Luck
