Serena Williams looks solid this week and she looks unbeatable.
She is 13/2 and 3/0 on clay court surfaces. She has a record of 88/29 on clay and she favours this green clay courts as she claims she gets more pace of the courts.
This is Serena’s 6th appearance in Charleston and she has won the title back in 2008. She also has reached the finals, also the QF, R16 and 2nd round exit.

Sam Stosur is also on good form this year. She is 14/7 and 3/0 on clay courts. She has a 77/46 record on this surface.
She defeated Jamie Hampton 60 75 and then went on to beat Voskoboeva in three set and then Venus Williams in another 3 set match.
Therefore she has played two 3 set matches in one day.
This is her 6th appearance in Charleston where she won the title back in 2010. She also reached the last 16, 2nd round and two 1st round exits to her name.

Due to Sam Stosur spending more time on court I believe this will favour Williams High as she has yet to lose a set and she is determined to prove to the world that she is still a threat to tennis.
Williams has a 5-3 lead in head to head and if Williams plays like she has this week then I think Stosur will get demolished in straight sets.
