RANGERS TO BEAT HEARTS @ 2.3

Rangers make the trip to Tynecastle on Saturday to take on Hearts who are fresh from their shock semi final triumph over Celtic to set up an all Edinburgh showdown at Hamden Park against arch rivals Hibernian

The financial meltdown at Ibrox has torpedoed any league title ambitions they had this season as the 10 point deduction has left them well off the pace and their only real ambition since then was to deny Celtic the bragging rights of winning the league at Ibrox, which they managed to do with a deserved 3-2 victory

Hearts have had their own financial problems this season with wages not being paid on time several months in a row and players being released from their contracts. In the league Hearts are 6th and don't have any real incentive for the remainder of the season and their sole focus will be to get their team right for the Scottish Cup Final and this coming game won't be a priority

I therefore see an unusually low key game here but Rangers recent form and the return of some key players from injury should see them take the points at a venue they normally perform well at. Hearts have already lost 6 times at home this season and have just 2 home wins from their last 6 attempts (albeit it was their most recent 2 ) whilst Rangers have won 12 of 16 away games and 5 of their last 6

Head to head at Tynecastle also points to an way win with the men from Ibrox leaving with all 3 points on 5 of their last 6 visits, including a 0-2 result already this season so I feel confident that despite their off field problems that Ally Mc Coist will have his players motivated and ready for this game, whilst I expect Hearts to come back down to earth following their heroics of beating Celtic at Hamden last weekend by struggling in this fixture

You don't often get Rangers at this price against a fellow Scottish team so my advice is to take advantage
