CELTIC TO BEAT RANGERS
Final result: 3 - 0Profit: 12.60 - 7 = 5.6
Sunday sees the final Old Firm game of the season being staged at Parkhead and for Neill Lennon's side it's a chance to put to bed some of the criticism that's been labelled towards his team despite winning the league title. Many point to the 10 point deduction imposed on Rangers and also claim Celtic 'bottle it' in the big fixtures and this clearly annoys the manager, players and fans at Celtic
Despite Celtic's 2nd half of the season march to the title many claim they freeze in really big games and point to 3 fixtures in particular
1. League Cup final defeat to Kilmarnock
2. Scottish Cup Semi Final defeat to Hearts &
3. Old Firm defeat at Ibrox when a victory would've won the title
Despite still winning the league title with 6 fixtures to play the label of 'bottling it' on the big stage clearly sticks in the throat of manager Lennon and he'll be determined to put this myth to bed on Sunday by disposing of Rangers infront of their own supporters
There will be a party atmosphere at Parkhead on Sunday as it's the first home game since the Bhoys clinched the league title. When you add in the fact that it's against their greatest rivals who are in serious turmoil off the field this will only add to the party atmosphere, as the home side will want to rub their noses in it and confirm they're the superior side and rightful league champions
Head to head at Parkhead in the league recently shows the home side as being strong with 3 wins, 2 draws and just 1 defeat and they've managed to win the last 2 home league fixtures, so despite the recent defeat at Ibrox I'm expecting the Hoops to avenge that in some style this weekend
Morale at Rangers can't be good this week with their latest SFA punishment rocking the club to it's very foundations and whilst they always get themselves highly motivated against Celtic I just feel the home side will be ready for them and are fully determined to deliver a big performance and result for their own supporters to finish their season in style. Celtic also rested quite a few key players last weekend with a clear focus on this fixture, so I expect them to be 100% ready for what is effectively their last game of the season
I'm taking 2 bets here:
Celtic to win with Bet 365 @ 1.8 with 7 points & also
Celtic to win (-1) with Paddy Power @ 3.1 with 3 points
Good Luck
