Monaco moved really close to the top three after the incredible form they are showing in the last couple of months. The team is currently five points behind the promotion places, with five rounds yet to be played, so the dream is becoming more than possible now. Monaco just cannot be stopped, winning nine of their last eleven games in the league (9-2-0), which is more than incredible for Ligue2, where the difference between the teams is not so big and everyone can beat even the favorites, especially at home. Until the end of the season Monaco will play against Clermont, Reims and Troyes, who are currently number two, three and four in the table, so with a really good end of the campaign they can make it to the top three (they were in the relegation zone at the start of 2012). Striker Toure, who came in the club this winter become the most important played in the club and so far scored eight times in just ten games. Defender Muratori (10/0) is still out with an injury.
Clermont on other hand is struggling recently. The team managed to win only one of their last twelve games in the league (1-7-4) and because of this bad run they are no longer in the top three of the table. However Clermont is still just a point behind the promotion, but I really don’t think the team have enough quality to fight with the other favorites for this places. The team also have just one win in their last six home games (1-4-1), so even the home fans are not helping them so much in the last months. Also for today out are injured Avinel (26/1), Perinelle (13/0) and suspended Salze (29/2), all three of them defenders. Coach Zakarian left out of the group Fomen (27/0) and Armand (26/4).
