Taking an early look at odds for the Euro 2012 championships in the summer before squads are announced and the build up really begins. The dutch national side have such an array of brilliant attacking talent they are always likely to be a contender to win the tournament along with in my opinion two other sides Germany and Spain. Spain quite rightly are going to be favourites after winning the previous Euros and the world cup but i believe this may not be their year. My reasoning for this is the fatigue of their top players who have played non stop for many seasons now and i think this has been shown by the performance of Barca and Madrid who both looked tired in the champions league semi-final. With David Villa a very key player for Spain being out all season and Fernando Torres seemingly not the player he once was ( love that to change ) i believe Spain can be backed against. My main fancy for the Euros are the Germans who looked magnifcent in the last world cup and have such an amazing lot of young players coming threw the likes of Kroos, Gotze will make them the best bet for the next world cup and who can forget the form of Mario Gomez who has been a goal machine this season. The dutch are my second fancy and i believe they have the capability to go all the way, one step further than the world cup final loss. I predicted Holland to win the world cup but the thing that let them down was goal threat as Van persie had been injured all year. In contrast this year is much different with Van Persie looking unstoppable at times and after picking up Premier League player of the year he looks set to be top scorer. With this mans form and the additional form of Arjen Robben and Huntelaar the dutch are a great threat, their group is tough but i believe both them and the germans will progress. I couldnt believe the odds i found at Betvictor for this bet and at 50/1 this seems stupidly high so i have to back it.
